Henchman 1000, older or newer model?

We've always been under the impression that Henchman 1000 is the older of the Henchman series. However, a discussion with
Boomboleros has revealed an inconsistency between the English and French manuals. It appears that the French version of the manual states that the Henchman 1000 is a newer perfected version, compared to the older 800. Given the Terminator parallel, this does appear to make sense.
We've been needing to figure this one out for a while now. If any members have the French and English manuals to compare, we may be able to figure out if this is another translation error, or if the quotes on RayWiki are inaccurate.

I've uploaded the manuals on the RayWiki:
The English one:
https://raymanpc.com/wiki/script-en/ima ... ual_EN.pdf
The French one:
https://raymanpc.com/wiki/script-en/ima ... ual_FR.pdf
I found them in the files of a game compilation called
Rayman Collection.

Seems like it's an error to me, especially when you consider that the 800's got an animation showing it to be self-dismantlable, while the 1000 does not.

I was always under the impression that the Henchman 1000 is the better model. The fact that the game was originally developed and written in French and the increase in the number from 800 to 1000 reinforce my opinion.

Very well, so update the article to refer to the 1000 as a newer model, and explain the inconsistency, as done in the Jano article.

Interesting inconsistency... I did not know about the differences between both languages descriptions but I admit I was always confused about the Henchman 1 detail in the English manual. Since the game is French by default I also believe it is the most correct source. Suddenly things made sense right now!

Same here, why on earth would the older model have a higher number?
Actually, nvm, NVIDIA are doing something similar at the moment…

Wait, I thought that happened about 8 generations ago.

Well, yeah, but considering they're now back to four-digit model numbers it seems to be catching up with them.

Ehh, it's like OS X going beyond version 10.

I just want to mention that in the Rayman M spanish manual, Henchman 1000 is described as "an older version of the robot pirate, more distinguished, but with the same values as Henchman 1...", and what is weirder is that next to the description of Henchman 800 there is a picture of Henchman 1000.
