Rayman Pirate-Community

I recently came to think that I've spent three years as an active member here, and I already promised to myself to make a post for the occasion since the beginning of the year. Kinda missed the date but heh, better late than never right.

It has been years...

I discovered the Rayman Pirate Community back in 2013 when I was in my full Rayman phase, it was first with Raytunes while I was searching some tracks, and afterwards the Raywiki.
As a matter of fact, I subscribed in July 2013 but because of a problem with the website I was only able to register on the Wiki, which is why my wiki account is slightly older, but whatever.
Upon signing up I was greeted by completely dead French forums, and back then my English was... pretty raw.
Of for course I had some fun while impersonating a complete moron and when doing so I had many laughs but this didn't lasted and I decided to become a better member and to contribute a little more to the forums to keep them alive.
Since I have been posting almost everyday since I registered without going AWOL despite having to work and personal issues including depression and disthymia (which can be felt in some of my posts).

That community made me meet awesome dudes and talk with crazy talented people and on the overall my experience of the community is positive so thanks to y'all.
But I'm not completely honest, I had the intention to leave a year ago, but something made me stay.
It doesn't really count does it, as I'm still there in 3D (almost)

So without further indue and to not make it look like a suicide letter let's get to the greetings as I type all of this from my smartphone's screen and it sort of gets harder as the post gets longer. TL;DR ikr

It's funny, I was planning on doing one of these myself, as it's been 3 years since I became an active member myself. The time has certainly passed by quick too, back then I was just entering sophomore year of high school, and either living every night on a hard couch at my Moms or in my Dad's broken and depressing place. I remember this place being a great refuge back in the day, talking to folks like Ad, Brad, Master, ZeptoRay, and of course you Incognito was practically a dream come true.

I think I've matured a lot since then, having graduated high school, been employed for two and a half years, learned and relearned who I am as a person and what I truly value, and more shit than I could possibly list. I totally can remember how my signatures were made on a shitty 3ds art app and how proud of them I was since I didn't yet have a job to buy my own art supplies. I imagine that's a bit true in some aspects for everyone though, since one can pack a lot 3 years time.

I think what I'm trying to say here is both thanks to everyone here for providing me a place where I can clear my mind and connect with some great people!

But I digress; I've said it before and I'll say it again, you honestly do remind me a lot of myself when I was younger, and it's not to hard for me to see where your opinions come from since I once held similar opinions in the past. If you ever need help or advice with anything, I'd be more than happy to talk to you!

It is interesting, how of all the things I was remembered by, it was asking if Keane had any experience with substances. I thought you would have many more negative things to say you remember about me.

Yeah thanks for the concern, I remember that back in 2013 the community was really awesome, it is amazing to see how much changed in my life since then and also how much I've changed.

Google anti-spam filter being what it is, I guess the confirmation message made its way straight into the spam bucket making it invisible to me until it reappeared sometimes afterwards, I bet the wiki editing needs less privileges and confirmations than posting on the forums does.
