Hi everyone,
How do I remove a stripped screw?
My old Dell Latitude D600’s display has cracked (something heavy fell on it) –
I tried replacing it, but one of the keyboard screws are stripped

I usually drill the head off, but you'll have to get a new screw if you do that.

Might try, my dad has a cordless drill somewhere.
but you'll have to get a new screw if you do that.
I have another Dell Latitude that I could get the same screw from.

I've never tried it, but supposedly if you place a wide rubber band between the screw and your screwdriver it'll have enough friction to be unscrewed

(Sorry for the bump.)
Well, I’ve finally replaced the display! My dad has managed to remove the screw by cutting a new slot into it with a sharp flathead screwdriver.
One thing, it’s an XGA (1024x768) screen instead of an SXGA+ screen (1400x1050) that was in there previously
