Hello to all
I always had a doubt about the PS1 cover of Rayman 2 and founding this community I decided to inquire

Basically if you look the side of the PS1 cover (NOT Platinum edition) you can just read Rayman 2 but not the full title Rayman 2 The Great Escape



Instead if you see the side of the PS1 Platinum edition you can read Rayman 2 The Great Escape full



My question is if ever existed PS1 black label copies of Rayman 2 with the full title of game also on the side of the cover? Obviously I'm talking about the European/PAL PS1 cover.

My doubt it was already back in 2001/2002 when I went on rayman2.com site and I've seen a PS1 box cover of Rayman 2 in whom you could also scrutinize the side of the cover and you could clearly read the full title Rayman 2 The Great Escape. But it was a black label!

Personally never found or seen PS1 black label of Rayman 2 with the full title on the cover side, however I would be curious if rayman2.com was reliable or the image had been doctored. Whether in some European nation (Netherlands, Germany etc.) the PS1 black label was sold also with the full title on the cover side.

Howdy, I believe the original black label never had the full name of the game. That's only something they started to do in the Platinum re-releases. I own both the editions and they are presented in the same way. I hope it cleared up your doubts.
