Yeah, Bongo Hills is a pretty hard level when you're playing it for the first time. But don't give up, you'll probably finish it eventually.

And then you'll eventually have to play it again for the cages.

It's just not worth beating it because of all the rage. And I know I won't have fun with it.

Which part of Bongo Hills are you stuck on?

I can't remember because I don't play Rayman 1 anymore.

The first Rayman was a pretty hard game for a kid. I think it took me weeks to finish it, and even though I was never stuck for extended periods of time, some levels took me hours to complete and caused me a fair amount of frustration. I especially remember Eat at Joe's and its nasty fish that kept leaping out of the water and making me drown. I lost several continues there and I had to replay through the whole level every time, which was pretty boring and eventually got me distracted, causing me to lose even more lives even in those easy sections.
One day, I fell right in front of the exit sign and I got so frustrated that I threw the controller away and broke a vase. When my dad found out later that evening, he beat the shit out of me with a set of jumper cables.

Aw, that's too bad. Kinda curious which phase you're stuck on in Bongo Hills (if you're still stuck there, that is).

Ehhh, I don't really have a video game that I found TRULY difficult or infuriating these days.

I think 1001 Spikes and Unfar Mario were challenging.

Rayman 1

Kao the Kangaroo springs to mind, but that's probably just because I decided to play on Hard on my first playthrough without realizing what I was letting myself in for! I guess the original Half-Life is also up there, but at least I worked myself from Easy up to Hard over the course of a few years on that, so it doesn't feel as punishing…

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is the first thing that comes to mind.

La-Mulana (if your trying to 100% the game without any guides or anything).

It's a platform adventure puzzle type game that starts off really fun and interesting and gets very criptic and difficult.

Two puzzles require you to pause the game in specific spots and wait for a few seconds to progress.

The worst puzzle by far was where you have to find invisible doors in different areas of the game in a specific order; drop into a pool of lava, fall down 20 identical lava screens then attack a random wall somewhere on the right hand side and enter it.

Shortly after this I entered the secret level area and gave up, I could have just completed the final boss but I just got fed up at that point.

How on Earth is one supposed to figure these things out without a guide?
Or how would anyone figure them out to write that guide in the first place?

Sounds a bit like a weird Portal 2 mod I once attempted to play, called "A Minuted Millions"…

My most difficult game that I have played is by far Super Meat Boy. Never maxing it again.

In singleplayer, I remember Devil May Cry 3 as a very hard game. In multiplayer, probably the hardest experience I had was facing this guy.

I had a good time playing GTA Online for a bit, but I don't remember ever facing anyone like that.

Normally, these kind of players aren't in normal lobbies, you have to look for very specific deathmatches so you may find them there. I consider myself as a very good killer in GTA, but that guy was just on another level, he's considered one of the best players out there. Despite that, I saved some nice clips killing him. Not everyone can say they could 360 that guy

Edit: just a little clip here. Not my intention to spam, but man, the clip is so cool... That trick is really hard to do and it was just a beauty how it ended up against that guy lol.
