Have you ever played a game or more where you found them to be more difficult than any other game?

Mine is Frogger for the PlayStation. To this day I still haven't completed it 100%.

Rayman legends for the ps3 is one of the most difficult games for me.
I raged at it many times. Some of the invasion levels were so annoying.
Still need to unlock all characters. Although I did rescue all 700 teensies.

Anyways one of the most difficult games I've played is Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne. It always gives you a constant feeling of uneasiness no matter where you are, no town feels safe from random encounters, and there's always the chance you can get 1 hit killed, so I always have to frequently save and heal. Thanks to the press turn system, the game's difficulty can be maniacal sometimes. Anyone whose fought Matador for the first time knows exactly what I mean. Megaman 9 is another title which has a lot of trial and error moments for me, I had to use a lot of e tanks in order to survive that game. Also the Metal Slug series for me is next to outright impossible to play these games without using infinite continues. Very fun games, but the trial and error are at an all time high. Street Fighter III: Third Strike has definitely one of the most difficult arcade modes in any fighter I've ever played. Even when the difficulty is set to medium the AI can be brutal at times, and you have the final boss who can heal himself when K.O.'d which is bullshit. Also I seem to struggle with a good chunk of shoot em ups, those games sometimes feel built to be impossible to beat, Ikaruga, Gigawing, Gunbird, etc.

Overall, I can't consider the games I've played through to be hard, games like Rayman 1 or Crash Bandicoot 1 which were hard for me as a kid are easy now so I don't think I could consider that hard now.

Kinda funny that was exactly how I felt when I was trying to beat particular invasion levels that I didn't really like in Rayman legends.

I never felt that way once with Legends, there were some invasion levels that kept me struggling for maybe a few minutes but I quickly was able to beat them.

There was actually one invasion level that I was struggling with that actually took me an an hour to complete.

Infiltration Station, I'm guessing? It's pretty much that one level that gives many folks grief. That being said though, I'd say Legends isn't too bad, I think Origins is more of a hassle overall to beat, especially with the latter Treasure Chest chases and the Land of the Livid Dead. Personally, I think both UbiArt titles are pretty easy compared to Rayman 1, if we're talking about the series overall though.

That one did take a lot of attempts but I did figure out ways to enter through a door in the fastest time possible,that wasn't the one though. The invasion level painting of "Quick Sand" in Teensies in Trouble was the one busting my ass.The invaded version of Quick Sand
And in Back to origins, what I liked least was the mosquito ride levels and the treasure chest level in the desert of the dijiridoos. The mosquito riding levels were one of the things that gave me trouble,the treasure chest levels were not too bad.

Since I thought I was doing badly, I will be getting Rayman Origins in the future, I really wonder how I will do in that game. I thought once about buying Rayman 1 but then I reconsidered, that game looked way too tough.

They're obvious answers but I've played them nonetheless: I Wanna be the Guy, or even more so Kaizo Mario.
As for actual games that aren't supposed to be evil, I think VVVVVV was pretty difficult as well as the new DOOM on Nightmare difficulty

As for video games that aren't troll (hello Cat Mario), I have to say the original Megaman is the hardest game I've ever played, followed very closely by Megaman & Bass (which is more difficult but has a save feature, rendering it less obnoxious.)

I didn't think the first Mega Man was that hard. It was a challenge, though I got through it for my first time in maybe two sittings. Mega Man & Bass was actually the first one in the series I played, and I think beating Dynamo Man with Mega Man in it was one of the longest times I've ever gotten stuck - it took me about three weeks of trying every day before I beat it. I was eight though, so it's not very representative.

The only part in Crash 1 I thought was actually kind of hard was getting all the crates in Lost City and Fumbling in the Dark specifically.

Aside from obscure shit that's just hard for the sake of being hard, I can't really think of any games off the top of my head I've played that were extremely difficult (though I naturally like being challenged, so my standards are probably reasonably high).

Nahh, seriously though, Resonance of Fate or Nioh

It's been a very long time since I played Civ 4, but I remember Deity difficulty being quite hard, much harder than Civ 5 or 6 anyway. Halo CE on the max difficulty was pretty challenging too.

The hardest games I've ever finished are Rayman 1 and Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures on Normal difficulty.

The hardest game I've ever played is Super Hexagon.

I'd also say Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, as I've put like 74 hours into that game and I'm still yet to win
