Hi I just wanna know if anyone else is curious about dark rayman's reasoning to side with rayman, did he even had any choice in the matter?

I don't know maybe just for the sake of the usable costumes for Rayman. Raymesis doesn't even look like dark rayman or bad rayman (yes they are two separate characters although debates would try to say otherwise) the only thing the 3 characters have in common are thier eyes. If Raymesis really did redeem himself, then why does his Origins discription go on about how he could damage Rayman's reputation if he wanted to when Rayman Legends' Raymonz has a better chance of doing so.

You have got to be kidding me. i should stop because i said "Bad Rayman (The character)"
you must be one of those people who think
BAD RAYMAN AND 2D UBIART ERA DARK RAYMAN ARE THE SAME CHARACTER ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF IT.

In fairness, Polokus does say in Rayman Origins that DarkRay was made by Mr Dark, however, Legends makes no mention of it and renames the character to Raymesis. Ultimately, don't take the Wiki at its literal word, it's intended to be informative, but with Rayman's canon as muddled as it is, there are occasions where we try to skirt about the issue to retain neutrality. The end goal is to let readers come to their own conclusion. It's a bit like how some believe the Great Protoon to be the Heart of the World, and likewise, we make note of the similarities, but again let readers make their own minds about it.
As for what Keane's said, I'm assuming he's referencing the
old debate over the name of the evil clone that showed up in Rayman 1. Nothing to get worked up over.

why would you think they're different characters
and
next: logical conclusion time:
rayman advance was the first ever mention of dark rayman, so therefore, given that dark rayman is named dark rayman in all later games, either ubisoft told /discussed with digital eclipse that was the character's actual name now, or ubisoft decided to start using it once they saw digital eclipse do it, which they
obwlsy wouldn'tdo if it was subbosed to be a dibberent cbaracter..

I give up i KNOW that this is just going to devolve into cheep point scoring regardless if we show proof or not soon. (and yes i have seen that on response videos on youtube)

Yes i was and as you can see i might have worked a few people up just because i referenced something and didn't say that i was referencing it.

There's a track in RayTunes' Rayman 1 Soundtrack that's called "Bad Rayman's Chase".
But in Rayman Legends, he is called "Dark Rayman".
I mean, their overall looks are completely different, too! Bad Rayman's hair color is pink whereas Dark Rayman's hair color is purple! Bad Rayman also has a dark blue pullover while Dark Rayman has a light blue hoodie! Their shoes are different, and literally about everything I mentioned is different!
So yeah, they are different.

The track names on RayTunes weren't official, if memory serves. I think Droolie came up with those.

I think what Aaron ment was dark rayman and raymesis have different colors on thier hair and hoodie plus different skin colors rayman 1's dark clone has kinda darkish and raymesis' skin is lightly purple. but if rayman 1's dark clone is raymesis, then how did said dark clone break free from mr.dark's control and become raymesis?

Rayman 1's dark clone isn't Raymesis. Raymesis is in Legends.

The track names on RayTunes shouldn't be used as proof for anything -- as Master explained, I came up with those based on what was written on the wiki. The wiki still distinguishes between the two to let people draw their own conclusions, but the Raymesis/Bad Rayman issue is probably the least unclear of all the issues with the Rayman canon.
Raymesis == Bad Rayman. Let's look at the facts:
- The Bubble Dreamer mentions in RO that Raymesis/DarkRay, Rayman's evil clone, was created by Mr. Dark. We know of only one evil clone created by Mr. Dark, or Wicked Double™ (as heard in Rayman Junior), and that is Bad Rayman.
- He looks different with a different hoodie and hair color, but so does Rayman. Is it not the same Rayman? In fact, the GBC version of Bad Rayman looks different from the normal Bad Rayman too, is he not the same guy?
- Bad Rayman is controlled by Mr Dark and follows Rayman's every move, Raymesis does not. Keep in mind that Mr Dark exists in the first game and is gone in Origins, so let's just go with the headcanon that he gained his own will when Mr Dark's control over him faded, okay? There is another subject that goes through the same process: Dark Rayman from Rayman Legends also does nothing but ape Rayman, while he gains his own will in Rayman Adventures (please don't try to tell me Shadow Ray isn't RL's Dark Rayman). If we presume he was created by the Ales Mansay or the Dark Teensies, it's fair to say that he gained his own will when they were defeated.
Actually, I mention that he has a will, but does he really? All that happens is that control is transferred from Mr Dark to the player's hands. Perhaps there is some deeper meaning, like Ubisoft intended for the player to become the new Mr Dark all along? After all, the players are the ones who keep wanting new games with Rayman, they are the ones who keep putting his world in danger...
The harsh reality though is that every single Rayman-y character beyond Rayman 1 is just a skin. Rayman Origins' Dark Rayman happens to be a skin created to evoke nostalgia from Rayman 1 fans, only to be reused in later games non stop without the writers even knowing the character's name. Dark Rayman from Rayman Arena is the same, literally just a skin. When the writers of Rayman Legends realized they couldn't reuse Rayman Origins' Dark Rayman as a baddie, as the writers of the previous game had him turn good, they renamed him and introduced another skin, which turned good in Adventures. If any future Rayman game has an evil clone in it, they will undoubtedly create yet another skin. Maybe he will look ghostly next time.

I knew that wasn't the official track name, but yeah, you're right. I shouldn't use the track names you created for proof

I do wonder why Ubisoft never used the Bad Rayman name after Designer. Wouldn't have made much confusion if they weren't so inconsistent in the names of the skins and their resemblence.

I'd say Ad's suggestion makes the most sense, that Digital Eclipse decided to call him Dark Rayman and Ubisoft decided it was a better name.

So in a way, the player is basically the ones really responsible for rayman constantly getting into danger every game? deep...

Ami seem, Raymesis is Dark Rayman or Bad Rayman (As you want to call him), for me that Ubisoft or Michel decided it was better to change the name, since "Bad" or "Dark" was something very cliche, that's why I say they changed it the name Raymesis to make it more unique, is the same "Dark Rayman" only that its appearance and name have changed over the years. (Hopefully Rayman 4 this appears and is known by several Nicknames as: Bad Rayman or Dark Rayman, but his real name is Raymesis, making clear reference to being one of Rayman's Nemesis).

I think there were 4 "Rayman clones" Bad Rayman, Darkray gbc, and Raymesis appear to be from the same mother as they all have purple hair but Shadowray has black hair; or maybe Darkray gbc and Shadowray have the same mother as they both are black? Idk I think they're all Mr.Dark's biological sons and the 2 earlier ones (Bad rayman and Darkray gbc) were killed by Mr.Dark as they failed to destroy Rayman. Raymesis was almost killed too but he managed to run away and go on his journey throughout Rayman 2 and 3 to become a better person and then get adopted by the ladies from the land of the livid dead. Oh and I want to make a cartoon based on Rayman with all of this being LORE.
Yes I think Raymesis is not a clone and should be treaded as his own person. Can we call him Iris mage of both shadow and bright? Or just Iris or something?

He could go on his own path and show how Rayman has been wrong about something and be a different kind of hero. Maybe he just likes to prank Rayman and embarrass him in public? I can't really tell.

Raymesis? Dark Rayman? Please.
We should reignite the discussion on whether Bzzit and Moskito are actually different characters in Rayman 1.

They're not. Mister Dark casts a spell on Moskito the second time, and the different colour is just due to different lighting.
