Do you still play PS2?

My first PS2 game was Wrath of Cortex.

Unfortunately my copy has a little piece scraped on the top where the data is that you can see if you hold it up to the light. Because of that it's only going to work until a certain point then no longer be able to read. I don't even know what happened it, but since it's a really awesome game, I'll just buy another disc since I have the case

I have some PS1 games so I play them on my PS2 sometimes. But I also have a PS1 console.

Not sure if Rayman 1 (PSX/PS1) Works on PS2 Console.

It does. PS2s are backwards compatible.

Back when Sony weren't greedy like they've become now. No backwards compatibility anymore and they make you buy the game again if they re-release it.

Xbox are actually doing a lot of backwards compatibility lately.

I just burned DVD-R again, for Rayman 3. since i went play it.

Now i decided copy my save data from pc, that i choose Folder (Experimental) PCSX2. Which i use ulaunchelf to copy my save data for ps2 memory card.
This is USA Version for Rayman 3, but then i burn it myself.

To play PS2 games online, don't you need to have a dongle that costs like $100? Moreover, I suppose that most of the game servers are down by now.

The Slim PS2 could do it without the network adapter and I'm not too sure about the games. I heard rumours that you can still play a few online but I haven't tried it myself.

You can still play LAN PS2 games online with xlink kai even if the servers were shut down.

That reminds me of an idea I had not so long ago. I would start a collection of video game consoles since Atari 2600 to now, but by buying them broken and by fixing them to learn how they work.

Haha, it is unusual to me because I'm not much of an electronics guy, I mean I'm quite good at the theory but I didn't really dive into the practical aspect of electronics. Maybe once but it was like a simple circuit with like 3 op-amps.
