For the thirteenth time, Pirate-Community is organizing a posts in a day record. Here is a short description for those of you who joined recently:

This is not a spam contest, and useless messages are obviously not welcome. However, the special conditions during the record day will be the cause of a certain leniency, especially as concerns old topics, which can be bumped freely.

The current record stands at an insane 32252 posts. Can we do better this year? That's up to you!

The rewards rise to the occasion: each post is worth 15 Tings within the given time span, and then come the bonus Tings: 1500 for participating, 1500 for beating one's previous posts in a day record, and 3000 Tings for the winner. For example, a couple years ago someone earned the incredible amount of 84690 Tings that day.

As for the date, I would recommend a Saturday in July or August, but I'd like to hear your thoughts before I set up the poll.

Personally any day of the weekend is perfect for me since I usually don’t have anything to do and I think most people would definitely have some free time during those days hopefully.
Edit: At least for now my schedule's open, but that could change, so we'll see.

This is going to be my first one, along with maybe some others so I hope o have lots of fun with this!

I think I can make any Saturday in those two months except the 4th of August, on which I have to be at a wedding. Though a later one would probably be better for me.

As of right now, any Saturday in July or August is fine by me.

Any Saturday after the 28th of June should be good to me.

Should be good for me... I guess so, although sleep deprivation really gets me on edge and gives me a deep envy to get drunk to cool my temper, but it never cools my temper, so I dunno if I'll do it this year.

Staying up or doing RD?

I personally don't know if I can stay up, I'm just not that person anymore, I have a solid sleep schedule these days. But, I'm still going to try pulling an all-nighter though

Same, but I have some important stuff to accomplish in the upcoming 13 months, and I won't longer let anything get on my way, destabilizing my sleep schedule would be really dum for me in my opinion.

There’s not much of a chance of that happening if all the usual members who are active show up.

Oh, no worries Inco if you can’t make it! I think with all the increasing activity lately the past month or so there is a really good chance that the record can be broken even if you’re not here. Good luck with your work though!

I talked with some friends about that and the idea of a "internet marathon" has deeply tempted them, so I dunno how things will turn out but I might end up being forced to participate by them and all of this while drunk, if not well I guess that I'll do my best to pop around a bit since my schedule has saturday as a work day...

I can't promise any marathons but I do hope to take part this year. Don't think I did last year.

I have faith in the current group of active members that we will break the record this year. My hope is that Hunch does not pick a Saturday where my parents are both here on that day, though I think I can manage even if they are. Now, if only I knew exactly what my record for posting currently is...
