With Michel Ancel being busy with Beyond Good & Evil 2 + WiLD, how would you feel about a new Rayman game developed without him at the helm? Like what happened with Rayman 3.

Michel Ancel said he was going to make Rayman 4 after Beyond Good and Evil 2 and WILD.

I really like Rayman 3, so in principle I'd have no problem with it. But that still had the involvement of Frédéric Houde, who is almost as intimately connected with Rayman. What's he up to at the moment?

Lol I hope he does though. Whether it has Michel Ancel or not, I am hoping it will be a great game, and I would be willing to get it.

I wouldn't be againts the idea if it turns out to be a quality Rayman game, Rayman 3 wasn't the best game in the series, but it clearly has a unique identity, so something similar won't bother me.

Everything would be very different and it would be disappointing cause Michel Ancel is the heart of the Rayman series.

i hope its as good as rayman 3

if R3 was good without Ancel, than there is a 50/50 chance of it being as good as R3

I prefer Ancel to be at the forefront of another revival of Rayman, but it wouldn't be a big disappointment if he ended up not to be. He seems to have the desire to continue the series, so it's likely he will be a part of it someway.

i mean, he was on rayman 3 in soneway too (new design and concept art i think)

You are right actually, Ancel wasn't at the forefront, but he still had an advisory role in Rayman 3. In reality, NONE of the mainline games were truly "Ancel-less", in that instance.

Surely that could happen again? He surely has enough energy for an advisory role.

He certainly could, he did it back when he was working on BG&E, but hmmm..how long has he been working on BG&E2, as of now?

Also apearently he stoped working on it 2013-16 to work on ledgends

About two or maybe three years I'd say. It was unveiled at last year's E3 (June 12 ) and, as impressive as it was, the project was "only started" as far as I know.
