Burnout 3 "No memory card in slot 1" error message

Okay so I wanted to play some Burnout 3: Takedown on my PS2 recently but I got an error message that I had never seen before. It said "No memory card inserted into slot 1" but I did have it inserted into that slot fully (what I mean by fully is that it didn't move, it was placed in there fixed). And the most interesting thing about it is that I could make like 70% progress with it in another save file, it only happened now and I can't play with it!

By the way the card I'm using is an unofficial 64MB memory card for PS2.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Aaron

I think it's due to it being unofficial. I have a PS1 memory card that does the same thing but replugging it when it happens fixes it.

I've tried doing that as well but it didn't fix it.

You mean the card? Well, what's weird about it is that it can save my progress in other games, only for that game it can't.

Yeah sometimes one save can just get corrupted like that. Did the PS2 shut off mid game or did you use the switch on the back or anything while it was powered on?

I used the switch on the back. By the way, is there any way to fix that corrupted save file?

Ah yeah that's what happened then. It's not very common but it's unfortunate. I don't think there's anything you can do once it's corrupted but if you have a game like that you really like, I'd advise having a second save copied to another card every so often just in case that does happen. Even try copying the current save to another card and see if it loads.

Alright, I'll try that then. Thanks!
