Today I have learnt from our Great Priest Harpic fraîcheur Tor has been blocked and so we can't use it anymore to access the forum! This is an affront to the whole community that we really do not understand as no one was aware a such thing was ever going to happen! This situation is worse than what it seems: they dare calling this forum a community while they vote on such things without asking us our opinion on the subject. What a great image of a good community that is!

I and Harpic fraîcheur will soon be leaving the forum if Tor remains blocked and drastic measures will be taken.

People all over the world use Tor as a sole means of access to the Internet because they live in countries where expressing a simple opinion could send them to jail. How can you take this away from them?

We're also all under massive surveillance by the NSA and other big governments' agencies and Tor is the easiest way to retain the little privacy we have left. Why make things worse for all of us.

There's been no warning and no explanation. Once again, the staff of Pirate-Community demonstrate their incapability to run a simple web forum.

This shows off they do not even understand what Tor is and took it away from us for no reason!

Is that what we should call a competent moderation team? I start to think they're more likely a big joke.

Poor people over the world who live in dictatorial states, where their governments have banned the RPC. Those are probably led by Razorbeard or André.

If you want to watch red rooms streams or some lousy CP, you need to use Tor.
If you want to browse RPC, you don't. If you can refute that, maybe that the moderation team will reconsider its decision.

Maybe it's time for Dumbchman to stop screwing up and go back to what he does best: being King Comment ?'s fool.

I was just testing an implementation of the Tor ban that is being discussed right now in the mods forum and you created this topic almost straight away, of course I haven't had time to announce anything yet.

It just so happens that Tor is systematically used to troll, send threats and hack accounts here, while I don't know of a single member who cannot access this website without it. Banning Tor goes against my opinions too but there's just too much mess going on and I have to prioritize the good of the forum here.

The mods are such pussies to be honest it won't change a damn thing but the situation will start to become even worse. May a divine punishment befall on them attacking us will be worse for our disaprooving.

Some people here only post using Tor, and as far as I know they're not trolling or threatening anyone. Why focus only on the bad things only? A King's Fool need not make a fool of himself even more.

Also should the good of your members be forgotten for this though? Our individual rights seem not to be anymore on this forum and that is really a shame.

Est ce que je dois vraiment avoir a supporter le blocage de Tor alors que je viens d'ariver sur ce forum ?! Ce n'est pas juste car je suis poli et ne suis pas un troll qui viens embeter ses condiciples alors débloquer tor !

Je m'exprime en francais car je ne saurais pas bien parler anglais sans logiciel de traduction alors je suggere la création d'un deuxième discussion sur l'autre forum français !

by doing that you just put against you a part of your community here. The forum is often quiet between rayman's announcement. Few people remain online here. If you want to see your community dying little by little, you made a good start.

While your concerns are understandable, it's quite funny too see those reactions, because Hunchman clearly stated that the Tor network is only used to troll, send threats and hack accounts here.

I'm pointing the fact about taking such actions without concerns. A comunity is about sharing, talking about stuff, about a futur for the forum.
I know they're mighty-gods-of-da-super-soup-forum and they have the right to do so, but at least just make, even a tiny, post about what's going on :/
