Rayman Pirate-Community

OK so since it turns out I like trying to draw these, I decided I might as well make a thread instead of constantly posting them in The You Game all the time.

Basically I haven't drawn in like 13 years and I never thought of myself as being good at it, but then Yesterday I just picked up a blunt pencil (I don't even have a sharpener) which I found in my drawer and a notebook I had lying there then decided to try draw Rayman. I was actually really nervous about it because I expected it to look really bad and then I was kind of afraid to even share it for fear of what others would say.

So anyway, this was my very first attempt to ever draw Rayman:
Since a few people didn't criticise it and apparently liked it, I decided to draw Globox next:
I got a set of colouring pencils which aren't great and tried to colour in both:
Then just now I decided to try draw another Globox (you can clearly tell I'm a Globox fan ):

I posted the first ones in The You Game because I wasn't expecting to draw more, but now that I find it fun I thought I'd be best to open my own thread

I know I'm not the best at drawing and I'm not even using a good pencil, but I just thought it might be worth sharing them.

You should do this more often.

I'll try draw a better Rayman later if I'm not busy. I'm still wondering if I should colour them in future or just shade them. I guess there's always the option to scan them and then colour them on the computer and trace the outlines etc if I want too, though I'm more interested in sharing the original drawings really

Out of all my drawings, I think I like the latest Rayman the most so far for accuracy. I was in progress of drawing Rayman's Brawlhalla concept art and haven't finished it yet.

I feel like redrawing the Globox's with higher accuracy and checking how they'd look as avatars / ranks

I've updated some of the images to the scanned versions instead of just pictures using my phone camera. They look much cleaner

The images for sure look better scanned than taken a picture, the image is much more clearer now. Hope you continue the nice artwork.

Some small updates to the drawing from the previous post. I need to actually try shade these drawings when I get a chance.

Since it's been a while, I might as well share my drawing for the Globox doodle collab. I did what I could using my phone and a crappy stylus with a rubber ball on the end.

Great job! Btw, this reminded me of how weird is that even though Globox's feet don't connect with his body, he still has arms, unlike Rayman or The General.

I always did think that was a bit odd, but yeah, he's basically partially limbless.

Btw, which app did you use to make the drawing?

I downloaded one called MediBang Paint. I've never actually drawn with a stylus before until today, but I like it. I plan to get one of the Samsung Note phones with a stylus to actually use for drawing instead of relying on a capacitive stylus.

That sounds great! I remember that some time ago I tried to draw on a tablet with a very cheap capacitive stylus, but it was very imprecise and hard to use.
