Hello everyone, I recently found plenty of early Rayman 1 Atari Jaguar demo footage and I put a video together of all early footage I'm aware of. Enjoy!

Wow, this is awesome! There's quite a few things in your video I didn't know the developers had thought of, such as using enemies as platforms. You've done a really nice job with the video.
By the way, welcome to RPC! I know you were here a few days ago but I never mentioned it (or rather I had forgotten) .

Welcome also. I think both using enemies as platforms and the walking on his hands thing was actually pretty cool

Nice job!

I think some of those levels are ones I haven't seen before. I liked seeing the trumpet walking around in one of the Band Land ones. It gives insight into what their role was supposed to be before the sliding mechanic was implemented. Like I was saying before, it's a pity that these levels weren't kept in the Jaguar version, instead of shoehorning in a nerfed Allegro Presto…

Good job, I didn't see any of these videos before. It's interesting that in the early version there were no Tings and Electoons were points. I wonder if then they were something to do with access to the Mr.Dark level. Btw, welcome!

I agree, the video was very interesting and they were even some footages that I never seen before. Btw, welcome to the RPC.

Yeah Allegro Presto is really weird on Jaguar. It looks to me like it's just spammed with hunters really to try make up for the lack of sliding physics in attempt to make the level more difficult.

I'm pretty sure it was some kind of management decision to make the levels the "same" between versions, and some great potential Jaguar exclusives were probably dropped because of it.

Nah, I simply found more pieces of footage to add that made me update the video a bit and removed the older video.

Part 3 of Eraser Plains is entirely different and it even got me killed a few times because of the yin-yangs with spikes at the beginning.
There was only a handful of good titles released on the Jaguar also, but the main complaints from people about the Jaguar were people saying that the sound chip is bad.
