Wow, good find! If this new Rayman game is gonna be made, that would be awesome! So Ubisoft didn't forget about their mascot that actually helped them grow and be recognizable and popular after all! Because we haven't seen an actual new 3D Rayman game since 2003! And I mean, I love the 2D games as well and I have no problem with them, it's just that tease Murfy made "See you in Rayman 4" which is really annoying for us Rayman fans who actually genuinely care about Rayman and want an actual new Rayman platformer, because Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition doesn't count as one since there is already Rayman Legends.

Rayman Legends is a good game too, but the Switch version has nothing special to even be named definitive. I wonder was it to make people think it was a new game again when it really isn't. It is nice that they brought it to switch and I actually did complete it, but it's not really that much different to the others aside from the Nintendo characters, which are actually on Wii U anyway.

As I said before, I love the Ubiart titles and I wouldn't mind seeing them make more, but I still really want to see this next 3D adventure. Imagine how good they can actually make it look with the amount of power computers have these days. Technology has advanced dramatically since 2003.

The trademark description doesn't sound like anything to do with a new adventure game. More likely just IP lawyers burning some ground around what they have.

Interesting, I actually saw this earlier that day. While it doesn’t seem like a trademark renewal implies anything, I stlll think it’s intriguing and that there is still hope yet that Rayman will have a new game. Honestly I think it’s better to be a bit excited and optimistic even if this doesn’t mean much rather than just automatically think nothing’s going to happen. Though I’m not going to get too excited yet until there’s more proof, I’m still pretty curious.

I think I just want to believe it means something, because I want to see a new Rayman game so much.

I was the same at first, but I think it means nothing, no new game or anything like that, since it's just a trademark.

But then the fact that they're renewing the trademark means they're not abandoning it.

Exactly, while nothing new has happened since November, Ubisoft hasn’t exactly given up on Rayman either, and as long as they haven’t, we shouldn't either. As I said before I think it’s better to be optimistic and hopeful like ^^ is being rather than always assume nothing’s going to happen. Though I don’t blame the people that aren’t really excited either.

Yeah, in Rayman 2, I actually liked Murfy a lot (I don't get why other people say he's creepy in Rayman 2, I don't think he is at all), but in Rayman 3, I strongly dislike him, he's just annoying and he always makes jokes that are very tiresome.

Also, don't get me wrong, I am a very optimistic person and while I see the bad things in stuff as well (because I'm also realistic too), I tend to focus on the brighter side of things. I just didn't know at first that it could also mean they're not abandoning him and the series.

So you're basically saying you don't like his bad attitude in Rayman 3. I guess they thought it would be funny to have him hate his job and it's one of those things where some people will like it while some won't.

When I first played Rayman 3, I immediately thought that attitude didn't suit Murfy, but then quickly realised that all of the characters have an attitude in Rayman 3, including Rayman himself and Globox. Saying that, I think Globox probably just has the attitude unintentionally as he lacks commonsense in the game at times. Some people are like that in real life where they say something cheeky without meaning it that way, that's what Globox seems like to me in Rayman 3.

Well, on the other hand, I find Globox kinda funny in Rayman 3 actually with the things he says. I especially like his one fourth wall break: "Just 'cause you're on TV doesn't mean you have to show off."

Personally, I don't mind the attitudes in Rayman 3, though I agree with Steo that Murfy's attitude in Rayman 3 didn't really suit him. Though i did find some things amusing from him, like him complaining that he has to do his own stunts and trying to get his agent to bring in his stunt double.

"Where is it written that I do my own stunts?!?!"

But yeah I understand Aaron, and just so you know I wasn't implying you weren't being optimistic about it.

Also yeah Globox is funny in Rayman 3. My favourite quote of Globox is him complaining to Rayman to play somewhere else while he concentrates to "open" the door.
"Rayman, go play somewhere else! I'm trying to concentrate!"
I would always jump in front of Globox in The Longest Shortcut before I collect crowns just to annoy him like that.

Well, yeah, Murfy might be annoying most of the time in Rayman 3 but I do admit that I actually find that amusing from him too.

Also, I know this is kind of off-topic, but I just realized that that stunt quote of Murfy's wasn't added, so I added it to the list of quotes.

But yeah I'll admit the few times I found Murfy annoying in R3 were when he refused to let me move on without collecting the first 5 red lums in the beginning and that infamous Rayman 4 quote.

Still it's nice to see the trademark renewal though. I truly hope there will be something coming from this though, so I can be totally hyped for it. Maybe after BG&E2 is finished?
