Sweet sixteen, Pirate-Community!

Today marks the sixteenth birthday of Pirate-Community. It is an impressive figure for what started as a small fan community, and this was only made possible thanks to the loyalty of its members and the dedication of its staff during all these years.

Yet there are many more birthdays to come! Despite the complete lack of Rayman news, the community is still strong, and while it may not see as much activity as it used to, it's still the one and only place for Rayman fans to go. In fact, with only 39,217 messages posted during the last twelve months, this is the quiestest year in the history of the forum, which now totals 1,319,591 posts.

RayWiki, however, has made good progress, with a Russian version being created, the first language addition since 2015. With 5,304 articles in 8 languages, it is the world reference when it comes to Rayman, and while this figure gives us an increase of 138 articles from last year, the real figure is actually between 300 and 400 due to an error, now fixed, in the way statistics were previously calculated.

Meanwhile, RayTunes still sees a lot of visits from music enthusiasts all around the world, and is so complete that it is now difficult to think of new additions to it!

Overall, things have been calm, but the community is still here, ready to boom shall Ubisoft decide one day to revive the Rayman series. In the meantime, we will keep working hard on the websites you love, and make sure that their incredible content is always there for you.

Long live Rayman, long live Pirate-Community!

I can't believe that's a full year gone by already, it barely even feels like a month to me.

The lack of Rayman news is most certainly making an impact on the forum's activity, as the last game that was even released was Rayman Legends for Switch, but even that was just a re-release. The good thing is that there are some loyal members who still visit frequently, and also some older members who still come back for a visit now and then.

There's no doubt that RayWiki is amazing, and it just keeps getting better. With the likes of Hunch, boombo, and RayCarrot looking after it, while constantly making contributions among many others, it's only going to constantly improve.

I do hope that we'll hear some Rayman related news in the near future, maybe even after BG&E2 releases (which I'm not overly excited for since others say it looks mediocre). I know Ubisoft won't give up on Rayman, but the hiatus has been pretty long at this stage, and I still think the series tends to be underrated by way too many individuals. All we can do is hope, keep on believing, or like Journey said, Don't Stop Believin'!

As said above, long live Rayman, long live Pirate-Community!

Another Thumbs up to you for that!!

I forgot to mention this but an adventurous gaming youtuber that I like named Vingamer had mentioned Rayman Pirate Community in his Rayman 3 live stream years ago. He even used the tracks from Raytunes for the playlist of songs to play.

We made about 40k posts in twelve months? That's really scary, considering that four short years ago, we made about 30k in 24 hours.

Anyway, happy birthday PC! :partyhat:

Actually that is true, maybe I was thinking of when I started driving my own car instead of somebody else's. :P

Yep. I even made that a poll topic once…

Anyway, here you can drive a tractor at 16 but you have to be 17 to drive a car AFAIK. :boon:

Everyone still drives them here anyway, though in fairness, they're clearly stolen.

So instead of stealing from cars like most crooks do here, they actually steal the car there!
