I think it's important to steer clear of most mainstream social media. You always leave more mentally strained than you do going in, whether it be because of seeing something you shouldn't have or the vile nature in people that anonymity can bring. There are some nice things, though. I can share my art with and speak to people from all over the world. I suppose that's pretty cool Technically RPC is social media as well, but I would say that toxic nature doesn't affect more down-to-earth forums like this.

I'd say Youtube has been my most used social media. Discord would be 2nd....if I had been on it recently...which I have, but not for a few seconds. I'm thinking of returning to it the week after this one though.

Twitter was a good branding for that type of service, X just feels empty and dead.

I have been on such a long Twitter hiatus that I had no idea the rebrand killed the site. That's a yikes from me haha

Makes me very happy that I left Twitter a long time ago. It was a to ic period when I left so it benefitted me more to not being there than the offset.

I still use Twitter sometimes because of the artist I can find in there. Also, Tumblr recently added livestreams to their service.

I'm still using Twitter (I can't name it X ) a lot, but I don't agree with the new changes over the platform. I don't know, it feels like somebody proposed to himself to mess it up as much as he can.

I think what sucks most now is that, as a guest, I can no longer view posts on that platform, which Twitter used to do for me, which sucks.

It's a cool social media, but I guess it depends on your interests if you want to create an account there or not. I remember creating the account because of the GTA crew we created back in the past, and right now it's probably what I use the most. I guess using Twitter frequently nowadays is like watching Formula 1 even if you now Verstappen is going to win

Yeah I think his is one of the only ones I would look at and with this upgrade I can’t even view his tweets anymore without making a new account.

Nice workarounds there. In the end, the letter X is completely redundant!

I mean that letter could mean a number of things. Like the second version of MegaMan, for eggsample.

Or the Sonic anime.

I use Facebook to find memes to show my siblings. That's basically all I do there. (I've never used Twitter, but honestly, I thought of Megaman X when they renamed it. Gee, wonder if some other social media platform could be renamed Zero, haha.)

I feel like that's something that could be added to the end of a media platform, like Facebook Zero or Snapchat Zero.

Like how they randomly decided to slap 'zero' onto the end of a soda bottle and call it 'coke zero' when it's almost like diet coke.

It's a branding thing. People don't want to feel they are "on a diet". But "zero" sounds kewl.

The same way Windows 7 was a rebranding of Vista with some improvements that could have been released as a service pack... But no one would have bought "another Vista" after the original's name was trashed thanks to mostly awful marketing choices made early on by Microsoft.
