Why is the Swamp Monster, also known as Eig, classified as a bad guy? As far as I remember, he never attacked me in Rayman Revolution. I even added something about him being pacific in the Eig article, so anyone please tell me if I'm wrong, before I edit the Marshes of Awakening article too

he doesn't go out of his way to attack you, but he deliberately stands in your way. after you go past him, he speeds past and pops up again. but are you sure he's called eig? there seems to be alot of confusion about his name and the name of the guardian to the cave of bad dreams. which one is eig? which one is jano? does either one really have either of these names? it's so confusing... but i think the general concensus is jano is the swamp monster and eig is the guardian.

In the manuals, Jano is the Guardian.

which manuels? the ps1 version manuel and revolution manuel just say "the guardian to the cave of bad dreams"

Jano is the Guardian and Eig the swamp monster, there's no doubt about it. We've known the name of the Guardian of the Cave of Bad Dreams for years, and it was confirmed by Rayman 3 GBA. Eig just can't designate Jano, for him getting smashed just doesn't make sense... unlike the swamp monster, whose behaviour is quite bizarre.
So, he does follow Rayman and kind of stands in his way, but it might just be curiosity. I still don't think he should be classified as an enemy, but as a neutral side-character.

Would you count the guardians of the different temples in Rayman 2 bad guys?
Personally I don't don't count him as a bad guy. I agree with you, he is a neutral-side character.

i think anything with big teeth that looks like it tries to eat you is an enemy.

But the robopirates don't have teeth and they don't try to eat you, so are they enemies?

i didn't say that only things with big teeth and try to eat you are enemies. i just said if they do, they are enemies. if they shoot you, or try to hook you they are enmeies. if they want to kill you in anyway, they are enemies.

Eig may just be playing, he doesn't clearly attack Rayman anyway.

in the marshes of awakening, there's a green monster. he'sa half submerged egg shape, green, a massive mouth with massive pointy teeth, fins on the side of his head and bright lights on the back.

There are two ugly green things. Anyways, Ubisoft should swap the names. Eig fits the guardian and Jano fits the monster.
