Rayman 2 is on the list of upcoming Virtual Console classics. I wonder how Nintendo will describe it.

That doesn't look like a new [or even official] list to me. I've checked Wikipedia and Nintendo's official VC site [at least, the Europe one], and no sight of Rayman 2 yet. Given time though it may be, as they do tend to release a number of new games every so often.

Sorry, R4_121, but UbiSoft joined PSStore. And I don't think it will also join VC.

By the way, N64 version lacks one of most important elements of R2. Music. So it wasn't popular like PC and DC one. And it wouldn't be.

Yeah I played the N64 version briefly on an emu and thought the audio sounded like shit, but that was merely due to the fact that it's cartridge based unlike the other versions.

So leik does that mean I have to get a PS3 now lol? I only jus got mah wii ;___;

You live in UK, right? I don't reccomend PS3 for R2. Because:
There are two R2s for PSs. One, R2 for PS1, and two, RR for PS2.
R2 for PS1 has a few good things. Music, dialogs, 3D lums... But levels of it are in Japanese style. That is not bad itself, because port has been made by Japanese people, and lots of Japanese platformers are good. However, it is French platformer. And if you remember style of PC R2, you will not like it. Also, do you remember R1 for Jaguar didn't include sliding? (I know it is hard to understand. So I say it English people in another way: you are walking on those silver bells in Band Land same way you are walking on drums and land.) PSX R2 doesn't include... well, what's this name? In PC R2, if you are in the middle of two walls, and they are close to themselves, and if you press A, Rayman does something (can anybody say me what's the name of it in English?) and doesn't fall. PS version hasn't got it.

RR... well, I haven't played it, however 40GB PS3s (currently most popular in shops) can't run PS2 games.

Don't sell your Wii. Better things to do are:
-to wait (cause nobody said UbiSoft CAN'T join VC)
-to buy yourself PC
-if you really want to play on TV, to buy yourself adaptor D-Sub>something another
-if you really want console version, to buy yourself DC.

Coming back to the topic... Do you really think it is good idea to send onto VC platformer, what is not so old to be in memory of actual casual players, and is not so "4casual" to go into it?

China actually. They developed Rayman Rush too.

Of course I'm not giving up my Wii, I only just got mine and I love it! XD I thought PS2 and PS1 games were compatible with the PS3, but I see it isn't in Europe. Aaaa I hate localisation. :grrrrrr:

Oh, I now know why those levels sucked. Cause they're made by Chinese people in Japanese style!

By the way, PS3 PAL model 60GB is compatible with Rayman games.

The PS version of Rayman 2 was actually a technological prowess, considering the game was originally developed for PC and N64.

What, what, what? Globox has to have a mask to raindance? Or is it another Polokus' mask?

no, in rayman revolution, when you rescue the baby globoxes from the pirate mines they give you a mask (not a mask of polokus) called the rain dance mask, which gives rayman the ability to do the rain dance. it's cool, because you can go back and make it rain on plants in earlier levels and get to high places.

Sorry. I understand now nothing. You use a special achievement called rain-dance mask to water plants used as ladders... and mushrooms that you're going to eat?!
