I just checked the original message, and it was rayda.
Here is something I later wrote about forum censorship:

First of all, people do not need cuss words to insult someone. That is why punishing those who attack the others without a good reason is the only solution to clashes.
Secondly, word filters cannot be efficient. If you want to censor the word fuck, do you have any idea how many combinations of letters, numbers and other characters you will have to disable? Any idiot is able to bypass it by adding dots and other symbols (f.u.c.k, f'u''c'k), by spelling it 1337 or using special characters instead of letters (f|_|[k).
Thirdly, in most cases, the censored word will be as understandable as the original one. Do you really think that spelling fuck f*ck will change anything? That someone reading '**** you' will be less offended than if he clearly read 'fuck you'?
Also remember that cuss words are part of our language, and that political and religious censorship have always been the enemies of culture.
Finally, if someone is shocked when reading a cuss word, then a Teletubbies forum will suit them much better than Pirate-Community.
I hope it is clear for everyone. Unless someone has anything interesting to add about that, which I doubt, I do not want to hear about word censorship from now on.

True, but let's face it, the average age of new RZ members seems to be dropping, it won't be long until about 6 is it.

Lal, thing is, they found a work-around. All I'd have to do is clear a particular field in your profile, and as long as you don't edit that particular field, you're going to be fine. I've already done it for a couple of others.
It's quite fail though, that they don't have it completely fixed. :/

I have no idea why they keep it since everyone, users, mods and admins alike, seems to think it's a pain in the ass.

They have, i had that problem all i had to do was make a new account and ask them to fix it.
