Rayman Pirate-Community

Hey there!

I was just looking for new things from BG&E2 on the Ubisoft Media server, and I noticed this being added to the French temporary directory... What is it? It's called "Hoodoo"! In the zip file is a wav file with music, but it's definitely not any Rayman theme... maybe something new?

Probably, this is going to turn out to be a music track of a new skateboarding/racing game by Ubisoft. -_- But who knows, eh?

Probably for the rabbids tv party game.

Yeah, they'd never put the Hoodlums into a Rabbids game, and if they would, they wouldn't make a theme for each type of Hoodlum.

Sounds like it could be part of a racing game or battle thing to me. Or maybe it'll be skating. The word "hoodoo" does apply to more than just hoodlums, afterall. It's also a rock formation.

Because you need a word that transfers more easily across languages than "boulder on top of a column."

This sounds *faintly* like it could fit in Rayman 3, but its probably for something else.
I'll go and contact Mark Griskey who composes the music for the Rabbid games to see if its for TV Party. Could be for the new Shaun White game, but that'd be surprising since those types of games tend to use licensed music.

@ Phoenixan: I know that Hoodoo also means that kind of rock formation, but I just thought it was kinda strange, since I found it on a French ( creators of Rayman are French ) Ubisoft ( of course, they work for Ubisoft XD ) server.
@ Lijik: You're right about it fitting in R3 a little. I don't think it's for TV party though... but you can still ask.

Just had a listen to this, well it only sounds about 10% Rayman to me. It's most likely to be in some racer of a sort.

Isn't 'Hoodoo' the name of those weird mumbo-jumbo talking Hoodlums in Rayman 3?

I think this could fit into ayman game if the game was styled like Rayman 3 but just a little different.

Each Rayman Game had its own style, IF there is a new Rayman platformer coming out maybe hoodoo is in it but he was re-made and the msuic could fit his fight.
But Each Rayman has completly different ways to present the character and the music can always help you to tell what kind of game it is. This music could easily fit into a Rayman game i think.

I think something other. UbiSoft was going to release this music for something other, however it was also developing something Rayman/hoodlum related. Somebody swaped the names and...
