Why the fuck would you want to play an 8 bit game in a 16:9 ratio, jesus christ.
So that it doesn't look like stretched shit?
Sonic CD remastered also had widescreen support. Even though that was 16-BIT.
Megaman 10 has 16:9 support and plays in 4:3. The rest is a wallpaper that changes depending on the stage you're in.
Also, I confirm : OCG is weird. He once took a holiday in Russia. He communist now.

You're misunderstanding OCG, he LITERALLY wants the entire game stretched on the screen, no fillers.
CHRdutch wrote:Sonic CD remastered also had widescreen support.
That was remade from the ground up while Legacy for the most part will be the same aside from few changes in physics and such. Nice try though

Why do you want a stretched game on your widescreen monitor!?
I'd rather have it 4:3 with black borders on the sides.

Find me one single evidence that I said I want it stretched. I said widescreen, not stretched.
Second, I had also discussion here in comments when I talked with one user: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76zNPWSRzy4
I clearly did not want this streteched but rather optimized for 16:9 monitors without looking stretched but rather like Dolphin Widescreen Hack but just more professional. Stop making false assumptions.

You do realize Russia stopped being communist country for quite a while? Also, thanks to communists, my grandfather was in prison for 5 years just because he publically said that he thinks only educated people should be allowed to vote on elections. Only communism I support is communism in Cuba but I never liked it anywhere else and aside from Fidel and Raul Castro, I think all communist leaders in any country were very bad and horrible people.

As Yoda the great once said : The joke, you missed. I have nothing against Russia, and you're free to go wherever to go regardless. Come on, you guys realized that was a joke right?

I KNOW what you're saying, but it's legitimately impossible to port an 8 bit game and make it widescreen. Sonic CD only worked because it was on a more slightly advanced console and it was 16 bit. I was under the assumption when you said 'widescreen' you ment stretched because you've done that with Rayman 1 before according to Adsolution. And here's another thing numb nuts: Widescreen support is impossible without it being stretched simply because of having to load the other areas in the game. And I read your comment btw OCG, if you really think that link the guy posted looks good go get your glasses checked.
And I disagree that this is a 'betrayal' of Capcom. I think it's just a nice little thing to tide us over, nobody loses, and nobody wins.
You're gonna buy it anyways so who am I kidding. The only thing I'm unhappy about is the excluding of Megaman 7 and 8. I'd also love to see Megaman & Bass there.

Well, some emulators have widescreen hack to make game in 16:9 without stretched image. If Emulators can do it, why can't Capcom? What says it is legitimately impossible to do it? As for Ad's claim, I would really like if he could point out when and where did I say that and used word widescreen. I do remember saying I prefer playing Rayman stretched than with black bars since it is harder for me to see environment but I don't think I ever used word widescreen for stretched. If I said widescreen, I probably meant widescreen hack. For example, here is how Crash 3 looks with widescreen hack without stretching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKRWonevCmM
So in the end, I prefer to play games like this from best to worst:
Native Widescreen > Widescreen Hack > Stretched 16:9 > Black Bars
I feel that Capcom could have done way better for this collection of games overall but I will support it and buy it on Steam.

Horrible. Those fucking texture pop-ins. Is this REALLY how you prefer playing?
And by the way, widescreen will be an option for the Legacy Collection.

Then I just got one extra reason to definitely purchase it
May I know the source where you read that?

My unpopular take on the Megaman games on the GameBoy (subs available)

The price for Megaman III on Gameboy isn't too harsh for NTSC, I found it for $20! But beyond that they are crazy expensive, you can always Japanese import them and it will be cheaper.
Very good analysis video!
My thoughts? I'm kind of losing the respect I once had in Infaune, sure, he was never the original creator of Megaman to begin with, but he also helped the series reach popular heights and helped me to become the fan I was today. To see him make stupidly questionable decisions is starting to make me think Capcom aren't the bad guys here.
I have already my suspicions that Mighty N°9 will be not be very good based on the trailers. But I kickstarted it, so I can only hope it's just a bad feeling.
As for Red Ash... yeah, it's kinda bizarre, but then again, it's Inafking. Nobody knows what to expect from him.

Double post for myself : apparently Mighty n°9 is not delayed
Why do they treat their backers like such garbage?

Because, just like water becomes tea, InafKing has worked too much with Capcom. He absorbed all their shitty practices.

That's one way of putting it, lol. I think a lot of MM fans are guilty for buying into the hype. For something with 4 million dollars put into it you'd think we'd get something less... Cheap? I'm not saying MN9 looks bad it just looks incredibly average. A lot of the levels shown in the beta simply didn't impress.
In other news, Megaman Legacy collection releases August 25th for only $15 (not sure how much that is in Euro).
The only thing convincing me to get it is the fact that this will end up being the best way to play the classic MM games, sprite flickering and lag gone, horrible music loop from Anniversary collection gone as well. The game will also be seeing physical releases.
