I can't wait to play the levels where the floor constists almost entirely out of spikes.

So, Legacy collection 2 has been out for a couple of days now and I'd like to know how was everybody's experience with it, Personally I think the emulation quality is top notch with 9 and 10 actually looking better then how they did in their initial release and MM7 having the original ending unlike anniversary collection, however while this collection is overall solid it does have some minor issues, like the lack of extra content and some changes like Junk man's stage not having the famicoms like in the original release, the lack of MM&B was also a pretty jaring though it's not something I'm going to lose sleep about.

Very late to this comment. Yes, the emulation is really good- I remember Legacy Collection 1 having lag in some areas where not even the NES original had it. I'm also glad they added that fire background from 7 to stay true to the original non-modified SNES version. A little disappointed with 8 though- instead of porting the clearly superior Saturn version with extra content (cutman and woodman boss battles) they opted for the ps1 original? Why? Also I did want to see Megaman and Bass in there, despite being a very poorly designed Megaman game, it has some of my favorite tunes. Megaman 9 is MUCH harder than I remember- I usually consider myself a fairly average/decent Megaman player but I found myself having to use loads of E tanks. Proto playthrough will definitely be different since there is no shop.
Overall I found Legacy Collection 2 to be really good, solid emulation for sure. I would definitely say it's better than Anniversary collection with it's input delay and awkwardly looping music.

From what I've heard they ported the ps1 version because the process of porting saturn games is a lot more difficult then porting the already existing ps1 vesrion (whether or not that's a good excuse is off to interpretation) and while I don't really care about Bass because It can easily be played through an emulator I won't lie, It still would've been nice to have in the package.
And we thought it was bad with Metroid, well at least it actually got a new fucking GAME during the anniversary, sure nobody asked for it, but it was something.
I can see why they wouldn't do it on the 17th since it's a Sunday this year ^^
As for the "You won't want to miss it" part, let's not be too hopeful and hope for that sweet Megaman X in full 3D remake, X9 or (even better) an acutal release date for X Corrupted, but I can foresee a Megaman X Legacy Collection lying around.

I'd definitely be down for an X Legacy Collection featuring X1-X6. Granted that is the most realistic expectation.

I'd be pretty salty to be honest : I just finished recording X6 with my imported X Collection with was not necessarily a pain, but definitely a hassle ^^

I would also like X8 to be included if we're already getting an X collection, and a new X game in general would be great.

I'm not quite sure X1 through X8 would fit inside a multi-platform game (Switch?)
Besides, you gotta leave something out so that X Command Mission gets in a sequel.

So I've heard they announced a new Megaman 11?

Correct
Although the graphics look a bit drab and soft in some areas, I like the way it looks, and I'm glad they're moving away from the 8 bit style. The game looks pretty similar to Mega Man Universe in some ways, really looking forward to it.
Oh and also an X collection, to nobody's surprise.

After years of crushing disappointments, cancellations of potentially great games, and just the feeling that Capcom simply didn't care anymore, Mega Man is finally back.

I am at least happy that they are including all 8 X games, instead of only porting a portion of them like they did with the 2 Legacy collections, also just having these games finally playable on modern systems is just pleasing.

The inclusion of X7 and X8 is a bit of a surprise, though....
As for MM11, so far so good. Nothing short of "Mighty n°9 done right" will cut it, however.

Regarding the X collection, I'm really hoping the titles aren't individual downloads and are in one full package (physical copy is an ideal situation here.)

Mega Man's running animation also looks very unstylised, which I find kind of distracting since he's always had this satisfying "inertia" to his limbs pumping back and forth that's totally absent here.

I'm sorry but why does the inclusion of X8 come off as a suprise to you? I personally think X8 is not a bad game at all, however I need to play it again to see where it really ranks for me nowdays, so I can't really say It's a "great" game.

The whole presentation I find honestly to be a tad underwhelming, with some areas not even getting the proper lighting treatment:
However perhaps they're just testing out the waters and this will change on the day of release.
