I wonder how typos like that happens. The 'A' and 'I' keys aren't even close to each other. Maybe it's a different keyboard...

I do that sometimes. My mind drifts a bit and I hit the wrong vowels for some reason.

Yeah, it was a "mind" typo, not a "finger" typo...

Does that mean you WANTED to make that typo or what? :?

No, my mind did it by accident, rather than my fingers...

I find that hard to make sense. You mean your mind made you think it was the right way of spelling it...?

No, my mind got mixed up.

bump

Well, it's been quite a year!

I come bearing news. Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath are being ported to the PC, and, along with Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus, will be released on Steam as part of a package called "The Oddbox".

The PlayStation versions of the Abe games are also confirmed to be heading to PSN.

Oddbox? Nice name. :P

The 3D games might be a lillte hard to control on the PC though.

I wish they'd port Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath to PSN too... :mefiant:

Microsoft owns the rights to those games, I believe, so it's highly unlikely that's ever gonna happen. Nintendo did the same with GoldenEye when MS wanted to release it on Xbox Live Arcade.

Why is it that Nintendo were able to block GoldenEye XBLA, but weren't able to block Banjo-Kazooie XBLA? Rareware developed both and Nintendo published both, so wasn't Nintendo's involvement equal in both cases?

EDIT: Wikipedia seems to be under the impression that The Oddbox is being released on PSN. :boon:

All i knew about was: Mudokons, glukons, sligs, slugs, scrabs, paramites, gabbons, chicken people, Strangers speices and those small, coloured creatures. And perhaps some more, that i don't remember.
Abe could transform into one in Abe's Exodus..... after he got the power from the ancient mudokon spirit's (i don't know they're names)

Lorne Lanning (creator of Oddworld ffs) has said that Oddworld Inhabitants are currently investigating ways to release the two Oddworld Xbox games on PSN. Excellent.

I loved the two first Oddworld games.
The first time I met them I was 10, and I was watching a friend of mine playing a DEMO on the PC. I got curious so I started to play the demo, and that's when I also started to become a fan of Oddworld.
I love the characters designs, the worlds designs, they are pretty impressive. The musics are also great, especially when playing the games at night!
Despite of being a platforming game, it is very challenging (Puzzles and strategies to solve and to create to save all the Mudokons) and fun. One of my favorite things to do on the games is to possess the Sligs. And Exoddus is even better than Oddysee.
I would love to try out the 3rd game, but I don't know anyone with a Xbox and there are no good Xbox emulators... :(

Mainly because Xbox emulation is hard, early and you need a good and fast computer...... you can only emulate Halo for now.

True... too bad that the game is Xbox exclusive. :(
