Ah, Ruby is my second favorite version. (the first would be Gold/Crystal)

Groudon is SO much cooler than boring ol' Kyogre.

EDIT: OMG, I cant believe I forgot to say that Espeon is another of the only good Eevee evolutions. yeesh, I need to remember this stuff better.

What about silver?

I just prefer Gold because of the Pokemon that you can only get in Gold. (Ho-oh is a great example.)

And Crystal is pretty much an amazing mix of the two with lots of added features. You can get Ho-oh, Lugia, and all three legendary dogs. Not to mention that almost every person who gives their number to you can help you in some way.

The legendary dog music is cool too.

You can get Ho-oh in silver, I got him before I got Lugia. He's at a higher level, too. And you can get all three legendary dogs in all of them.
EDIT: Come to think of it, are you sure you could get both Luga and Ho-oh in crystal? I remember in the other two, you got the silver/rainbow wing from the radio tower and the other (depending on version) from...somewhere in Pewter city. But in crystal, you get the clear bell at the Radio tower.

Oh yeah! I forgot you could get both Lugia and Ho-oh in both versions.

I still like Gold more though.

I didn't have Gold for very long though, it was a bit stuffed up and didn't save.

Darkrai is the only cool new legendary though.

Not in the cartoon. He wasn't the scary and demented Pokemon he truly is in that.
