Let's put it this way... I've made myself some simple rules. I'm not going to have sex with anyone if I haven't been with this person for at least a couple of months. If he can't wait that long then he certainly isn't worth it. Also I'd want to know this person well and some months is plenty of time for that. I've tired off and been annoyed with all my previous boyfriends after a few weeks, so yeah still a virgin and it doesn't really bother me one bit. :]
There's no way I'm going to wait until marriage though. That appears quite lame to me.

If you are a Catholic and you have sex outside marriage, you go to hell and are punished for all eternity!

Good thing I'm not catholic then. If there really is a god then I don't think he/she/it or whatever would put ridicoulus rules like that on us. Rules like that are purely the product of humans wanting to control other humans by scaring them with the concept of burning in eternal pain and agony. And hey, it worked, still does, fancy that!

Waiting until you're sure it's time to do it is obviously the best behaviour to adopt, but waiting until marriage doesn't make sense to me either. You can love someone without being married to them, and you certainly won't end up in the fiery depths of eternal damnation for that :tssk:

I'm a Christain, that's probably why I'm waiting till marriage. And even if I don't, it's not like God has written anything in stone. I can ask for forgiveness.

But I might do it before marriage. Shuuko and I already love each other, and we're defiantly going to get married. So........

Several friends of mine are christians too, but they don't think god gives a shit about it. I mean, you can trust in god without having to bother with stupid restrictions. I'm not a believer, but I'm sure it's a question of faith, not of sex ;)

Catholics are more into not having sex before marriage, but us Christians are more laid back about it. It's mainly a sin to us if you do it with someone you don't love, like prostitution.

Anyway, I'm pretty good at making conversations when it comes to polls. teehee

Catholics are still christians you know...
Catholic theory: No sex before your married, but once you are, BREED LIKE RABBITS! Seriously, they don't even allow the use of condoms.
Anyway, I'm technically too young, but if the opportunity came up I don't think it'd stop me. :hehe:

Hm same here I'm afraid. My mum says I'm handsome, but all mum's do don't they?

Yeah, it's just something that doesn't mean much. It's like when my mum says I'll like her new dinner... it means nothing to me as she would say it.

Sometimes parents really need to adopt the 'cruel to be kind' philosophy though. If you've ever seen anything like Australian/American/etc Idol, you'll probably have seen people who are tone deaf but go up there anyway. Why? Their parents have told them 'wow, you're a good singer' or something like that, even though that's not actually what they think. So the poor kids think they're great, and then go in front of thousands of people and humiliate themselves.

I know what you mean. There's a British equivalant called 'The X Factor'. A lot of the auditions are terrible, yet the people think they are good singers.

That actually makes sense.
So remember kids: Don't listen to your parents.

I have. We all have those miserable times in our lives but the way I see it now, it's really not fair on family and friends.
