I wonder if the LHC will actually help the scientists make any important discoveries. Personally I doubt it, I think that this machine will fail. I hope I'm wrong though.

Maybe, but i meant more like in general. Monday is the first day of the week, which means 5 days until weekend.

Hopefully the next time I hear about one of these "the-world-is-ending" theories is in like four years, when people are saying that the world is (also) supposed to end on December 12, 2012--their explanations were non-sense though if you thought about it.

If people found sources of water on mars, then maybe that used to be earth....millions of years ago until it flew out of orbit and dried up like it is today- and the next planet-our planet- grew life on it....then maybe it'll happen again- and Venus will be the next "earth"...

Funny you should post that, because when I heard of the possibility of the LHC experiment going wrong, I was reminded of that resonance cascade that happens in the experiment in Half-Life 1, and I thought how awesome it would be if the CERN turned out to be Black Mesa and the Xen aliens came and invaded or something...
A girl in my class said that they're turning on the LHC at 11:30 A.M. tomorrow. I'll be in P.E. then. Now I
really hope the world won't end, I don't wanna die in P.E.
