Don't fall to the sky, please, I can understand that somebody prefer PS3 over PC. But no for economical purposes! This makes no sense! (At least in Poland.)

The PS3 is cheaper then a high-end PC tough, and you can run Linux and Wine on it. This makes the ability to run PC Games on it (Yes, COD4 can run under Wine )

Pardon me for being a non-believer still, but as far as I know, Linux and Wine both have issues with running PC games. Like it or not, the majority of PC games are designed to run under Windows, which the PS3 can't handle, up to my meager knowledge. Wine might be an alternative, but it's the same case with emulators: it is not natural. Games are not designed for Wine, specially. To me, these features of the PS3 seem like desperate attempts to broaden its range of games.
While the PC is, of course, flawed as all things, the sheer number of games for it does, and forever WILL overpower the PS3. Honestly, put your hand on your heart and try to say that one day the PS3 will have more games than the PC ever did. You know yourself that's impossible. XP Let's not also forget about modding, perhaps! I doubt any PS3 game can be modified as heavily as standard PC games. ;3

Someone installed Windows Vista on a PS3...
However, it takes precisely 5 minutes to load up MINESWEEPER.
Continuing from what Zay-el said though, Windows Vista isn't intended to run on the processor's structure, the memory's structure, etc.

Yeah, i knew that, but i didn't mention Vista because it would run very badly ( if you even got it to run XD )
@Zay-El :With some knowledge on the case you can get much games to run under Wine. And if you aren't really handy with these things, you could always try Cedega. For example, i got Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 to run flawlesly ( well, there are some frameskips in the arena ) with Cedega ^^ But, mind you, still as good as Cedega is, this doesn't mean that PS3 can run PC games, this only means Linux can. And linux is, yes, a operating system for a computer ^^

I haven't actually got a DS or a Wii. But I hear the DS has rather gone out of 'fashion'.

That's odd. Almost everyone here has one- we once all brought them into class and played Animal Crossing and pictochat XD
EDIT: I want Brawl, but I feel everyone here is now fed up with it.

Josh, from now on, just hit submit once, OK?
Not tried playing games online with my Wii yet, but I do remember the Dreamcast's one being utter shite. :/

Perhaps it's just an age thing, then. A year ago everyone was talking about them, but now, I haven't heard anyone talk of it for months.

You can actually get Half-Life 2 and other Steam Games running pretty well too, actually.

You know, the only game i didn't get to run was C&C : Zero Hour but for the rest most of my games run very well under Wine
