Rayman 3 does run quite good to and Rayman Raving Rabbids is playable but glitchy and has many frameskips

That's pathetic, fanboy. You don't know anything about what you're talking about, and you're linking me to an article on ps3fanboy.com. Of course it upscales the image to 1080i, but that doesn't mean that the quality of the DVD or whatever is magically transformed to HD quality.
Just get the hell out of these forums. Nobody here liked you before, and you being a level 5 PS3 fanboy certainly doesn't make anyone like you any better. Do us all a favour and leave. For good.

Not everybody. That's actually a dumb thing to say because there are members who don't hate Spiraldoor
@Ontopic : Altough i am not smart about DVD's and stuff. But i don't believe that the PS3 would play a DVD in HD quality. A DVD is just not HD, it's quality is nice enough if you ask me

For example, it doesn't mean that becaue you are using DirectX 10, that a old game would have DirectX 10 graphics. It's just not possible ( well, without mods

but that's only for video games and stuff

)

I thought we were through with this? Spiral, stop bragging, Tobbe, stop picking bones. I'm getting tired of this stupid arguement.

Let's please get back on topic to prove that the computer, Wii and the DS own all

I love the DS. Sure it's no PSP, iPod Touch or whatever, but the games on it make it so worth it, plus it's GBA compatible. I may get a GBA SP some day so I can play old gameboy games at night, I'm just itching to find my copy of Super Mario Land 2. Original GBA = fail for no backlight.

Spiraldoor's no better...
I still have an original Game Boy Advance that I haven't played in an eternity. The games are unremarkable, plus I have a PDA and free software that's actually kind of fun. Perhaps best of all is that my PDA has backlighting and decent screen. (I have a Game Boy Player anyways...) I have my Game Boy Color, too.

You can play them on your DS if i'm right. Well, i play games like Mario Advance and Donkey Kong king of swing on it

I heard it was possible to run Game Boy Color Games on it to. I'll go search and translate for these old topics and bring them up here
@Spiraldoor and Tobbe : in the words of Shaft, SHUT THE FUCK UP BOTH OF YOU !

Glad *someone* here agrees with what I feel about Spiral and Tobbe's argument. :/
Yeah I play GBA games on my DS all the time. But you can't put mono GB games in it, I tried. GBA carts are just shaped differently compared to old grey ones.

Oh right, i forgot about that
Oh, and
here you can find some usefull things about running GB/GBC games on Nintendo DS
I heard it was even possible to run NES games, but i'm not sure yet

Just watched the video, and man does that look cool? Perhaps if I get any money from some old Sonic comics and Clubland CD sets I'm putting up on eBay I'll get a cycloDS.

How much proof do I have to give you before you understand?
The PS3
DOES upscale DVDs, PS1 games and PS2 games into 1080p. That is a
fact. Please...
try to understand this, if it lies within you intellectual capacity...
The PlayStation 3
HAS THIS FEATURE, STOP DENYING IT.

Well, the PSP can emulate GB games, GBC games, and GBA games, and of course it does so with backlight. It may be cheaper to get a GBA SP, but you could download as many GB, GBC and GBA ROMs as you want for PSP.
Sorry for not ignoring Tobbe.

I'm gonna be the bigger man here and quit this stupid argument.
Back to topic:
The specs for Football Manager 2009 are out. Seems like you need a pretty powerful PC to run it, due to the new 3D matchengine. *drools*
Looking forward to this year's edition!

Again, any better HDTV does it in way you mean. Some PS1 emulators for PC probably do it better. And I can tell you why.
Way that PS3 uses to "upscale" PS2 and PROBABLY PS1 games (I'm not sure for PS1, but it is 100% this way for PS2):
1) Normal renderdown.
2) Splitting video into frames.
3) Using Cell to "upscale" picture in way similar that Photshop, GIMP etc. does it with one picture.
4) Making it a video signal again.
Way of SOME emulators.
1) Rescaling vertexes of triangles to bigger resolution.
2) Upgraded renderdown.

Well, i can believe that it's possible to upscale game graphics, but i'm not sure if it would really be wurth it.
Altough, it has a 7-core processor that can easily do it while games are being played, so why not
