Rayman Pirate-Community

Asterix & Obelix XXL 2: Mission Las Vegum. Does anyone know of this game? I got it some days ago and it's already become my favorite game.
The game is filled with hundreds of video game parodies and cameos. Including Rayman!

Firstly, you see a wall painting of a Roman with Rayman's hairstyle.

And in Lucksore you meet the Rayman Romans, limbless enemies whose armour is coloured the same as Rayman's costume. They use Rayman's charging fist attack.
There are also Mario Romans, Sonic Romans and Pac-Man romans.

Anyone else know about this?

Somewhere at the WCW arena theres a flowerpot thats shaped like Rayman. I think thats it as far as the Rayman parodies go in that game.

Oh lawl I heard of this a long time ago, isn't it on PS2?

I'm still convinced that Rayman's nose is akin to Asterix's.

Yep, this is on PS2. You can also get it for PC and PSP I think. I see what you mean about their noses.. I never thought about that before, actually. They're both French, so there could be a connection..

I read about the plant pots at a walkthrough on GameFAQs but I haven't reached the WCW arena yet. I forgot to save in Lucksore and I had to start over.
The Mortal Kombat room is awesome. The logo on the walls, two Romans parodying Scorpion's Spear move, the health bars above the door and "FATALIUM".

Theres a Wii port as well, that I'd like to import someday so I don't have to keep reinstalling the game whenever I delete it to save space =P

Ah that must be really annoying to have to do that every time. I watched the trailer for the Wii port and it looks VERY different though. But I can't find any reviews..

The wii port is lthe original game with the PSP's added multiplayer mode from what I understand.

It's cool that Asterix and Obelix (and maybe Idefix ) left some place for our hero

I think Ancel actually used Asterix for inspiration when designing Rayman.

I would not see any Rayman referencis with Asterix except for the leafs in his hair

Err, you mean... that Asterix has wings on the helmet/cap?

Well, Ancel's design is one from R1, which is much different. It doesn't has got, err, "leafs". This was invented by 3D modellers.

Yes, and he has a Rayman-like nose to. Obelix is the one that fell into the magic potion

Well, there's almost 20 of them. At the beginning of the level when you enter through the lion's mouth, they're against the walls of that corridor.
