It's no reason to resent gays. You act as if being gay is a label that defines someone. This is wrong.

It is purpose that defines us. :mryellow:

One of my sister's best friends came out as a lesbian not so long ago, and she still remains as a wonderful person to tag along with, and I'm cool with that. I can't imagine myself as a homophobic while people like her are around, so this is why I find most if not all homophobes to be complete nutjobs.

Yeah, but it would also be a just a little rude to say "STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY, FREAK!!" to her.

Exactly. Most of the time homosexuals can't help being the way they are whatever their lifestyle, most of the time it's a hormonal thing.

I don't have anything against gays myself-or marrige- but I really don't like the idea of adoption...

They are nice people though, and my soc.ed. teacher even recomended us to go to gay bars. I'm not sure she should be allowed to say that though

Here's something interesting my Health teacher told me:
About 10% of people are, and always will be, unchangeably straight. Likewise, 10% will be gay, no matter what. But the middle 80% could be swayed either way and even change from one to the other (or be bisexual). Most end up straight, but that's probably because that's what's socially acceptable, so people stick with that.

Also, it's rather ironic that the word gay can also mean happy, since a lot of gay people aren't happy about who they are.

I'm more-so homophobic in the sense of being hit on by a gay guy, and that scared the crap out of me. :|

Though, getting hit on by ANYONE scares the crap out of me. :|

I can't really blame you. Being gay is creepy, but if that's the way some people think, then we'll have to accept it.
My point exactly. When I learnt that one of my friends was gay, I found it disturbing, but now I just don't care.

I think it's because "queer" means being excited.

I'm glad others think the same way I do about gay adoptions.

BTW, I'm not really homophobic, but there have been times when I was hanging out with a gay guy that try to grab me.......It was very wrong. I only have problems with gays if they try to do nasty, perverted stuff to straight people, while they know you're straight. And especially when you tell them to stop, but they keep doing it. But, I have problems with anyone who tries to do nasty, perverted things to me, but other than that gay guy, no one's try to do anything that bad.

If that ever happened to me, that guy would be dead now. :destroy:

If that happened to me and the guy looked weaker than me, I would punch him in the face. If he looked stronger than me, I would run the fuck away.

Being gay isn't what annoys me, it's their feminin personality and voice that gets on my nerves a little.

There's a teacher on my school who is extremely feminine. Not sure he's gay though. Maybe he is just some kind of feminine straight guy.

My RE teacher has that distinctive "gay" voice, but he isn't gay.

Yeah, I know. They could account for the 80% (who turn gay) you spoke of the other day.
