What are you thankful for?

I guess there's too much to be thankful for so I won't be able to say, but yah I do celebrate thanksgiving. It's also a time to compare our lives with others of not so fortunate ones - makes me feel rather sad sometimes.

I don't celebrate Thanksgiving. I thought it was more of a North America only thing.

I'm thankful for Rick Astley's appearance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade giving us a Rick Roll to what we thought was Bloo from Foster's Home of Imaginary Friends singing Best Friend.
More than 1,000,000 people were Rick Rolled that day because they did not see that coming.

That joke is being spread all over the place. Jon Stewart got RickRoll'd on the Daily Show one time.

I suppose it depends on religion and beliefs.
In any case, what's so awesome about pausing live TV? It means you miss other stuff!

Um, actually it's all about spending time with your family, and being thankful for all the stuff you have. Religion has almost nothing to do with it for most people.

I know that.
It's partially the reason I celebrate thanksgiving. Although arguably I celebrate it almost every day.

I thought Thanksgiving was something to do with the American's getting independance or something (but that's independance day lol)... Nah, I don't celebrate it. In fact I don't really celebrate anything.

Closest thing to Thanksgiving we ever celebrate in the UK is just a harvest, which is earlier than that. Our household doesn't really do it ourselves but every year at primary school there'd be a shitload of food standing on the hall stage from whatever tins and stuff we bring in and we'd sing and stuff. All of that food goes to older people who can't get shopping so easily, which is a good thing really.

I remember that now, we only did it once. Grab a tin of beans, stick it on a table and that's it.
Hogmanay, now there's something to celebrate!
