Plans for New Year's Eve and Your resolutions?

Anything exciting you are going to do on the last day of the year? Anything you want to do next year?

For me, I'm going to go to a party of my friend, and will try to enjoy it as much as possible, with drinking as little alcohol as possible - it just turned out a few days ago that I'm kinda bad with alcohol, which means sometimes even just one beer can make me sick for the entire next day.... Too bad. The plans for the party includes board games and some Smash Bros as well, so I guess I will be able to enjoy it the same as the others.

As for my resolution, I will try to get back into sports. I had such a shit schedule at uni this term, I literally couldn't go to any of my trainings, which was really bas since I've been doing aikido for almost 16 years... Also, finally starting to go to gym on a regular basis, and not just every once in a while is another thing I want to do. These, and the stuff I always plan on doing: studying harder, and reading more. I actually get better at this last two each year, so I will just try to get better next year as well. Anyways, that's all about me, now I really wish to know what you guys plan on doing.

I like to just have a few beers since I feel sick either way due to acid reflux. So long as I don't drink way too much I'm usually OK.

As for new years eve, I'm not too sure. I'll probably just have a few drinks with family members and have fun really. New year's day isn't very much of a celebration though since my Granny died on new year's day, and that's her anniversary. I guess there's no harm in having a few beers in memory of her though.

The only things I do at new year's eve is spending time with family members, eat some grapes and drink some wine while we wait for the new year. However right now I have a health problem that doesn't allow me to drink alcohol (and other stuff like coffee and soda), so I guess I'll be drinking some juice or flavored water .

I probably shouldn't be drinking because of reflux either, but I already went alcohol free for 2 years then realised it makes no difference really.

For me, I will celebrate New Year's Eve in my house along my parents, my paternal aunt, my adoptive patenal cousin and my paternal grandmother. Apart from seeing the New Year's Eve bells and eating the 12 grapes (thing we usually do the Spanish people), we will see a live action comedy Christmas special (with sketches) on television.

Happy new year fellow members! :partyhat:

Had a great party for new year's eve with a dozen friends, just the right amount. Now I can finally stop eating and drinking all the time and go back to a (more) normal life.

Bump!

This year I'm trying not to stay so late at the office in the evenings. Some days it probably can't be helped though...

I never use to set resolutions for every year, but right now I would say I have two priorities this year...

-To get rid of my stomach problems. Since November 2022 I've had a lot of discomfort that prevents me from living a relatively normal life. There are still things I can't eat or drink and the slightest prolonged physical exertion, even walking, causes me quite intense pain. So yeah, getting cured would improve drastically my year.

-To have my name written in a scientific publication for the first time. These 2/3 months I should have made some progress, but these intense stomach pains have prevented me from going to work normally. But to sum up: these past years I have helped in other people's projects, but now that I was going to start my own thesis project I would be very excited to accomplish this.
