Not really, I'm not finished with the new version of the portal yet...
Joshua822 wrote:You know. I think that there is a little thing about the French and English forums. It would be a good idea that you can "minimize" the French/English board. That way you would have a good focus on the forum in your language. And English members wouldn't need to always scroll down.

Also, I moved the French forums down a few months ago, but many people from the English forums started complaining about it, so I moved them back.

Possibly in time I got skulled.
Well, back to the portal - would there be a ting lotto?
EDIT: Oho, a great callendar in Websites menu! I wonder what is it for.

Well, sorry, i guess it isn't really a problem. I forgot about that link.
What would be nice though, would be that you could already see your smileys while typing a post. I often have to edit my post because i typed the wrong smiley code.

Seems like you have found my secret development area

Well yeah, I've been working on a nice AJAX interactive calendar for PC, and it will be available soon

You obviously thank nobody checks this thing, right?
I checked, however I await possibility of moving events, as something pointed at 08.05 somehow landed at 06.05. Or maybe it was just my error?

I just thought of something for the forum: An "average words per post" stat. It would be a great feature for separating the boons from the non-boons...

The non-boons would start from how many ppp?
And note they can write a fan-fic from time to time.

It's a very smart idea. There would be flaws and exceptions though, like the one Stan uncovered.

That's getting weird now, I was pretty sure I had taken time zones into account. I'll go and check it.
By the way, I've just created a poll about the eBay ads. Just tell me if you find them useful. I know it only displays French auctions, but don't take this into consideration, I can change it easily. Personally, I think it's quite useless, not to mention the time it takes to load. It displays either rabbids games or games that I already own, and I guess it's the same for everyone else. What about you?

I'd rather they were advertisment banners about things going on in the forum. ^^

Here's an update (I have removed the cancelled ideas):
- Calendar: displays a small calendar with events submitted by users
Will be positioned on the left of the MyRSS feed.
- Embedded videos: displays a video from YouTube or Dailymotion
It will be positioned under the calendar, on the right of the news.
- RayWiki Featured Article: displays a summary of a RayWiki article with a link to the full page (see Wikipedia's main page)
Very likely to be on the portal, probably right under the embedded video.
- Forum Hall of Fame: displays the top ten members in terms of Rayman 3 score, posts, Tings, boon score, etc.
It will be just below the bottom line, and display randomly either the top ten posters, boons, R3 players, or richest members. A drop-down list will also allow you to choose the criterion.
- Google AdSense: displays Rayman-related ads which could prove useful for members
Will be used to fill empty pages, such as the Error 404 message.
- eBay Partners: displays Rayman-related eBay auctions
Currently in question.
- Picture of the day: displays a new Rayman picture each day
Nobody seems ready to work on RayGallery, so there's nothing I can do.
I'm also going to remove the Websites and Affiliates sections, and I suggest replacing the eBay ads with other Rayman news, maybe those from Rayman Fanpage

I would suggest removing all eBay links. They're quite ugly and don't serve a great purpose.
Maybe you could replace them with some information, but is the Rayman Fanpage updated enough to stick to the demand?

The actual question would rather be: What is more active than Rayman Fanpage in terms of Rayman news?

The "Picture of the day" thing could be of recently found Rayman images found in the 'Rare Rayman pics' topic?

You could use other sources, not necessarily from the one specific site. Rayman Fanpage only gets updated monthly or so.

Which sources? And anyway, it's impossible, because I need something automated, such as a RSS feed.

The Portal could be decorated with a random selection of Rayman-related images, such as concept art, fan art and screenshots, so it looks different every time you view it. This is just an idea I came up with a couple of seconds ago and there's probably something terribly wrong with it.

It should be covered in flowers and hearts

When you hover over a thread's title in the forums, that thread's first post should appear in front of you in a kind of bubble thing. I really mean this.
