No. I'm an atheist. Religion was created to control people and remove the fear of death.

Religion’s a joke. I don’t believe in a single thing said about God.

Pages and pages of tidy and neat arguments to end up with these posts.

God is imaginary....
I don't really believe in it..even though my parents always want to get me to read the things about it.

I know everyone has mixed views on this, but personally I can't say I believe any of it. The stories we hear sound like someone was incredibly high when they wrote them and there's no real evidence to suggest that any of it is true. Then you have assholes getting away with murder and the good people getting sick. I'm sorry, I'm not discerning anyone's beliefs but I just don't see it.

To me, religions has always been a fairy tale we tell to people so we can manipulate them. Religion was the pretext to pratically all wars, I hope that one day everyone will stop believing their imaginary friend is real.

It's interesting how so many different views there are on religion. Though I prefer not to say much on this matter, so I'll just say I'm in between.

A lot of people seem to say maybe, my guess is that they don't believe but are just afraid to say it. I'll still go to a church if there's like a Christening etc. but I personally just don't see enough evidence to suggest any of the stuff we heard is true.
As I said though, we all have our own opinions.

This is like saying that the earth is flat or that HIV is a virus created by the human to kill gays (which I think is fine for me, but it is not necessary to attack me).
(I'm curiously Catholic).

Do your parents call you a Jesuit?

Nope, they do not call me that. If not already I would be from door to door talking to people about "the truth", the truth for me, is that we are all here to rot and suffer chaos. It depends on one's point of view.
What is the "Truth" for you?

I think you're thinking of Jehovah's Witnesses, not Jesuits. I just asked that as part of an in-joke really, since Lovy pointed out how like inco you are, and inco's parents call(ed) him a Jesuit.

Well, I'm a non-lapsed Catholic, and my parents have also been known to call me Jesuitical.

Just out of curiosity, do any of your religious beliefs conflict with any of your scientific beliefs? It's not a question I think I've actually asked anyone before

To have any religious beliefs that would come in conflict with scientific beliefs, I think that you need to be a serious fundamentalist. Nowadays, nobody thinks that the world has been created in 6 days, that Eve ate the apple from Eden, and all that is written in the Genesis.
I'm not religious because I wasn't raised in a religious family at all. Yet I quite enjoy catholicism, because I think that it is full of stories that teach you basic moral values. And the lore behind the Bible is very interesting as well.

A clear example to follow, to enter into disputes if each one has his own vision of creation and life. The values of the Bible really serve your day to day.
In my point of view, I believe as much as in the word of God and the theory of the famous Big Bang, for my God exists, but not as the old stereotyped with white tunic. hair and gray beard, for my God is a primordial being with an indefinite form which he decides to use. Maybe he was responsible for creating the Big Bang or the same is the Big Bang itself, this is a simple assumption, like all of us.
