You mean the AC/DC song? I didn't know they used that song!

*BUMP* Sorry for creating an useless topic that already existed, I'm jsut too bad at finding the right topic here on RPC.

I'm currently playing the first trilogy of Spyro (100% in the first two games). This is still awesome. I especially love the music which is wonderful. I could spend hours with the Autumn Plains and Summer Forest songs in the background.

It seems that Insomniax found out the right formula for Spyro with Spyro 2. In Spyro 3, diamonds didn't change, you have all of your special moves like front charge, swimming and diving, etc...

I will try Legend od Spyro trilogy after. Hope it's not too hard in terms of control cause I only have a keyboard and no gamepad (lelelelel). But you can still enjoy the PS1 games with a keyborad (hey, PS1 controls not that hard).

The Legend of Spyro trilogy is good. The PS1 ones are good too, though I've only played Spyro 3 and I really like it.

As for the Legend series, I did beat the first game. I was playing the 2nd one - Eternal Night and I got stuck at that tree boss that keeps regenerating its health. I tried the 3rd one a bit - looks fun with some neat combos and would be a lot of fun in coop.

I never really got that much into Spyro's universe, but I do find his games enjoyable and good. I would like to see HD remakes of PS1 titles since they were best but since he is now in Skylanders universe I doubt that will happen. Swap Force is really a proof they are starting to milk the series. In my opinion, Skylanders would be better if it did not have first sequel either. I was hoping it would just be a spin-off and that after that we would get to either see sequel to Shadow Legacy or Dawn of the Dragon. Activision even told that if Skylanders 1 sells good, they will consider giving Spyro his own series again. But no, Activision wanted more money and they knew that if they keep making more Skylanders that would bring them more money then Spyro game.

Skylanders 1 - really good game but rather expensive if you want full experiance.
Skylanders Giants - ok game, but I found Giants too similar to Italian toyline Gormiti.
Swap Force - I don't like it at all and will probably not buy it.

I wish we'd see a classic Spyro game again too - HD remakes of the PS1 titles would be great start but not necessary as those games have aged pretty well.
I just don't want Skylanders. A game a la the Legend of Spyro would be good too, but I'd definitely prefer a classic Spyro. :)

I still wish to know who are Legend of Spyro's parents. That was never explained in any game.

Its weird how you see no adult female dragons at all in the series until Cynder, which doesn't really count anyway. Maybe all the dragons are gay and Spyro was double adopted!

Spyro 2 was the first game I've beaten on the PlayStation. I've played the trilogy on the PS and got the GBA games too. However I think we can we agree that the series we loved died when we first saw the opening to Enter the Dragonfly.

Enter the Dragonfly was a complete trash and disgrace to Spyro.

That game failed in every possible way besides the soundtrack which was just brilliant. A few of the level themes/concepts were really cool too like The Thieves Den, too bad the level design itself was shit.

New Skylanders trailer was announced and Spyro was not in the trailer. Hopefully they will abandon him and sell rights to Sony:

He was still seen in trailers but not on game covers I admit. This is first time he is not in trailer for Skylanders game.

Hmmm, at 4:08 that "new character" looks like a skeletal version of Skylanders Spyro.

Hopefully his name won't be Skeleton Spyro.

He truly is dead now if that's the case.

I would prefer even TLoS 4 more than this to be honest. At least TLoS had good character developement and story. They just need to work on gameplay

Eh, DotD had better gameplay than it did story/character development in all honesty.

The first game needed to work on both.

The second game was actually really good though.
