It's made entirely of Final Fight screenshots.

It took me ages to add in the transparency of the big boss, pixel-by-pixel...there was probably a much better and faster way that I didn't know about, though

Anyone can make sprite pictures like that when they have the sprite sheets, and while it's not the worst I've ever seen, I do advise you not to get too proud of them.

I didn't use sprite sheets, I used screenshots. The sprites were too low-quality.

Why not make a sprite sheet out of high-quality screenshots? That would be awesome.

Are you using Photoshop? If you are, there's an opacity slider in the layer window.

There should be something similar in GIMP as well.

It'd look better with Mr. Stone's head, Space Mama's torso, Mr. Scops' claws and Mr. Sax's... wait, not Mr. Sax. He fails. Maybe Mr. Stone's feet.

Oh, and in GIMP, you have to make a transparent layer, and then there is a slider in the layer dialog when you click on the layer you've just created.
