Hi, I am kinda new to the Rayman Pirate-Community forum. I have a sprite series called The Legend of Rayman: Adventure Frontier and I figured that here would be a great place to advertise it. You can check out the first episode here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idJP5Z5F ... annel_page
and the trailer here:

I've already made 9 episodes and episode 10 is currently in production (although Windows Movie Maker isn't exactly being cooperative). The plot revolves around Rayman, of course, and his world being taken over by Bad Note, the first boss in RRR GBA. Bad Note imprisons all his friends and he needs to find some more heroes to help him out. He meets Spyro, Mario and Crash Bandicoot and they set out to stop Bad Note. Later (episode 6, to be exact) it is revealed that Bad Note has stolen each of the Four Orange Lums, which each hold balance in time, space, matter, and energy. He has hidden the lums in secret remote places, which just *happen* to be in each of the four heroes' homeworlds. Somewhat unoriginal plot, I know. You will find that some of it, for instance the gathering of the different heroes, is similar to Super Mario Adventure X, another sprite series that I really liked. So please check this out when you get the chance. Thanks.

I'm sorry man, but I thought this was really bad. What was this made in anyway, Windows Movie Maker? If you're going to animate anything at all in the future, let alone sprites, I'd seriously get Flash, because WMM is no tool for this.

Sprite movies have gotten a bit old anyway; despite a few gems, most of them are the same "lolz game character beats the shit out of another Matrix style" shit. I'm sorry.

I agree with Stacey. I also noticed a few spelling mistakes in the first episode.

2:49, you said "I presume" instead of "I assume" and 3:43, you said "headed" instead of "heading"

Presume is actually right. The headed however is a grammar mistake.

Why not? Is it too hard to figure out?

Nah, I just...don't. :S

I've used WMM for every video I've every made and I can't switch now. I already tried switching to Sony Vegas but it just didn't seem right. I know WMM sucks and everything, it's just...I'm used to the suckiness. But whatever, you get the idea. Used to the program.

And by the way, if you think my series is bad, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWlIt23mG_w
Not even animated >_<

EDIT: What?! You're telling me there's no smiley for :S?!

No seriously TRY IT!!!!
WMM is for editing hypercam/camtasia recorded files and stuff..... NOT FOR MAKING MOVIES!!

That's because people like you think that you're gonna be the next Randy Solem or something. =/

Lulz. I feel an innate aversion to all the flash pixelart, especially cross-lore fan gaming stories(weird name, d'oh). IMO, so noone should care about it.

I didn't think they were bad, I didn't see anything wrong with them. I thought they were good. It's not choppy at all, and it has what it needs.

Although I definitely would give flash a try, Saber. You have no idea what you're missing out on. It's kind of like before where you hand-coloured the sprites you had when you could use the ue-shifter tool in Photoshop. :D You must try it.

Oh sorry, I didn't see that this thread Rayfist bumped from over a year ago.... :?

Well, yeah, basically you shouldn't bump threads that were that long ago.

And just in time too! Today's July 26th! It only happens once a year, and we want this place to be organized for this day!
