Band Land music remix

I spent time reworking the Band Land song, I really enjoyed the Rayman 1 soundtrack, one of the best (you certainly don't get music like it anymore in today's garbage that we call "games").

Enjoy!
I would really like to know what synthesizers (or samples) they used for the Rayman 1 soundtracks. I tried searching to contact the musicians, but alas, that has failed. Being in 1993/1994, I can only assume they used pure hardware.
EDIT: I should also note that I used a MIDI file I found as assistance, although, it had some errors that I fixed, I chopped it up, added notes of my own, and that's what you get.

Try that link. I think Bill has the links change after awhile... unless someone suggests a better place to put it.

Wow, great job on this!

Beautiful and actually better than the original IMO.

I changed the link on skydrive, so it should work. You just have to click the little file now. More work, but, the URL will stay the same.

I'm a purist, the originals will always sound better to me. Although I don't like how short they made the first part (the piano playing is excellent), then tacked on 3 minutes of chinese-themed music near the end (thus only 2 minutes of actual good music). I guess I could always edit the original to my liking if I really had to.

Moved to Rayman artworks.
This is better than some other attempts at this piece I've heard, I'll give you that.

I didn't know other people were trying to muddle with the band land beginning (it's not an easy thing to do since ubi obviously isn't going to hand over the sheet music/MIDI sequences). I could have certainly done a better job if I only knew what synthesizers they used... obviously whatever they used had the standard selection of MIDI presets (with that really nice "warm pad" at the beginning of band land). It must be some very good sampler. They did use some unique samples, like that neat drum roll old the ending of the picture city music.
You'll notice the lack of percussion since I seriously didn't want to map the drums, particularly because of the beat, I write music in a gridded sequencer (which isn't the best for very short fast notes). I also didn't have any trumpets that matched to my liking (otherwise I would have added some).
