"The Rabbids invade the World" Official Collection

Recently in Portugal, the TV started to announce this collection ( Rayman is usually so rare to find games of him here, that I got surprised to see this publicity), and in Spain this was also announced. It's a official collection from Ubisoft of 30 PVC Rabbids and each one represents a country. The boosters also come with 2 cards that are playable, giving a total of 64 to collect. There's even an album to collect the cards.

Oh god the English one.

I'll have to admit, not only did they make me laugh, they look much more professional than these other ones I keep seeing on eBay, even if they seem like Kinder Surprise toys.

Rayman merchandise is hard to get anywhere because it's hard to design a toy which has Rayman's body all in one piece, so Rabbids are easier. But gee I wish there was more Rayman junk.

Thanks for the info.

At first I also thought in Kinder Surprise collectibles but after watching the end of the commercial I saw it wasn't that. The figures size are between 6 and 7 cms.

They really look cool, not that I plan on collecting figurines, but it's nice to see they're making good use of the popularity of rabbids :)

I think it's also a good thing from Ubisoft, at least they are also making more Rayman publicity here, which is a VERY RARE THING HERE (Except one TV Spot I remind to see in 2001 in Portuguese TVs about a Cereals brand, and there was a kid playing Playstation 1, and in the screen there was Rayman on 3D XDD). The distributor is also a weak one called ECOFILMES, as finding a Rayman game in Portugal is like looking for a nail in a pile of straw. :?

I'm also thinking in doing this collection because the Rabbids figures indeed look nicely crafted. :)

lol the Scottish one has bagpipes, a kilt, and... some Peter Pan hat.

I don't care for rabbids. We should keep rabbid talk to the off topic board, since they're not being carried by Rayman anymore.

I've got another idea. Make a Raving Rabbids subboard.

No. Create a games subforum in Off Topic, and people can talk about any games they want there, including Rabbids.

Rabbids stuff can be posted here, and other game stuff can be posted in OT. It's not the ideal solution I know but I can't help thinking a games subforum would be horrendously unsuccessful.

That's horrible. I have to admit that the collection looks okay, but why don't they make more Rayman merchandise? I mean, sure, Rayman has no limbs, so he's difficult to make, but why not Ly, Globox, Teensies, Hoodlums, Pirates, Mr. Dark, the Magician, Betilla, André, etc.? Ubisoft is simply mean. MEAN I tell ya.

I would love a Ly doll. Otherwise I'd have to build one using a Barbie since she's skinny and tall enough.

Is there an English/Dutch site about this?

What I saw on the site is that we can send a e-mail suggesting a next collection, I'm thinking in writting to them to suggest a Rayman 2: The Great Escape collection with the characters. :D

Those are also limbless, so they would be equally hard to make. :(

True, but they could put a background to support the figures.

Most of the limbless characters wouldn't really be hard to make toys of.

Mister Dark, for example, would be quite easy.
