I'm all for this. It would be a very subtle, but rather funny easter egg for those who get it!Shrooblord wrote:Maybe something as subtle as the fruit that Rayman eats hanging from one of the branches would be enough?

Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
You could punch it off the branch, eat it and go on a psychedelic trip! For the lulz. The trip could be Rayman revisiting his childhood 2D self in the Pink Plant Woods or summin'.

Don't take that too seriously, but if you're feeling like inserting a joke...

So, Ad, quick question. Are you going to release ROTD on Steam Greenlight?
Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
I don't think she can do that. As far as I'm aware, Steam Greenlight allows users to vote for games that they like to later end up as paid games. That would put Ad in trouble because of copyright.Minor-T5 wrote:So, Ad, quick question. Are you going to release ROTD on Steam Greenlight?

True. Very true.

Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
Adsolution, I haven't worked on the novel for months and before I start to work on it again I'm going to PM you what I have so far on the prologue. I want you to tell me where you think the story should go from here, or how I could expand upon what I already have. Also are you still going through with my ideas? I'm only asking because you have changed a lot of ROTD since I told you those ideas and I'm starting to think that you may have scrapped them. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, I really don't have any proof that you may have scrapped them. Then again I don't have proof that you still going through with them either. One more thing, are there any changes in that list you sent me? On the list Race of a Legendary Misconception was marked to be touched up, but it had been completely redone. Though I must say excellent job on the remake. It makes me think that the new Mont Kollapso tracks will have quite a difference from the old Mount Kollapso tracks.

This is the first time I checked this out thoroughly; this is EPIC!
On another note, I really like the idea of that Snoring Tree Easter Egg (with the plum thingy but without the tripping thingy).

@R3fan2:
I'll have to consider, I'm not entirely sure yet until I write everything down.
@Marklar:
Thanks!
Make sure to check back for the next update, the Snoring Tree may be in it.

Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
Finally, after four months! Here you go, all nice and fresh:
1. "Valley of Illusion: Bridge to a Sleepy New World" - 0:00
2. "Dream Forest Depths: The Thicket (Redux)" - 2:22
3. "Dream Forest Depths: Rise and Shine" - 4:11
4. "The Shutter Cave: In White Light" - 5:05
5. "Starlight Peak: Raven's Aurora" - 10:19
6. "Starlight Peak: Follow the Fireflies" - 12:54
7. "Mount Kollapso: Race of a Legendary Misconception (Redux)" - 16:44
Lately, I've been taking a more natural approach to composition. Slowly, more and more instruments are becoming miked authentically, and with the aid of many of Komplete's very high-quality samples, it all blends together in the end beautifully.
Trivia:
- 'Bridge to a Sleepy New World;' Well, what could it be? There are two references as to what it is in the title.
- The wind instrument in Raven's Aurora is a shakuhachi, played through my electronic wind instrument, the Yamaha WX5:

- 'The Thicket,' while being a remake of a track I recorded long back in Part 3, was split up into two different tracks here; the second is the one following it.
- I figured that since Race of a Legendary Misconception is one of my personal favourite things I've ever written, it deserved more than just a touch up like I gave it for the 1-30 retrospective, so I remade it from the ground up, and boy was that an utter pain in the ass. I spent eighteen hours alone trying to figure out how to make it not sound muddy and unclear after I thought I'd finished mixing it, after I asked my good friend Shrooblord to critique it. Well, in the end, his criticism was very useful, and here is the final result!

Wowow The Thicket (Redux), what a great track.
I feel at times the bass and percussion was a bit weak, but as a whole your compositions are very beautiful, and you managed to fit that Rayman feel into most of them in some way or another. I can't believe I didn't know about your project until I joined the forums. It's all really well done.

Oooh Race of Legendary Misconception sounds really good now! You managed to touch it up just fine.
I'll listen to the others later on - I don't have much time right now. Expect the usual comments from me.
This is going to be in my head for weeks now.

Shroob certainly did a good job with the critique if this is true, and of course Adsolution this was absolutely well done, I commented my full thoughts on the video, I hate the stupid youtube commenting limit though.

I only managed to sneak a listen in, but from what I've heard, it was pretty darn good.

Re: Rayman: Revenge of the Dark [STRESSTEST DOWNLOAD]
I feel like most of your music always works well as ambient background music, something I could put on and listen to in order to unwind and go to sleep a little easier.
And then that last track came on, and took me completely by surprise.
I've already said I really like it, but yeah. I quite liked the most how you managed to do a much more upbeat sounding track while still retaining the feel of the rest of your soundtrack. It was quite nice and I can still hear it in my head now.
