Now for something totally off topic: I went trick or treating yesterday, for the first time in my life.

Personally, I don't see why you don't just continue writing in this thread. I can't see the logic in creating a new one just to repost some stuff - chances are it'll get just as "trashed" as the original.

And there's no real need to lock this. If you don't need it, don't post in it.
