Pirate Community Steam Group

Some of you may be familiar with Steam, the game downloading service developed by Valve Corporation. It was my suggestion that the Rayman Pirate community create a group on Steam, for any PC member to join. I would be happy to create and maintain this group myself, but I think it would be more appropriate for a PC admin to make it. Tell me what you guys think!

I use steam, but I'm not sure what groups do, is it for multiplayer?

They can be, but usually you just join a group to be a member, if you know what I mean.

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/raymanpc Hell, I went ahead and created one. If this goes anywhere though, we are DEFINITELY going to need a better avatar.

It's also very easy to hand over admin controls to anyone else, so if Hunch uses Steam, or if any of the mods use Steam, I'll give them admin powers.

Deal?

Nice initiative, Phoenixan. Ok, we'll see what happens, but I'm definitely joining.

And if enough people join, we can hold multiplayer game nights too or something. :P

Yeah, that would be good, except anyone outside of America would probably miss out on those due to the time difference. But still, Americans could still enjoy them. :D

I've got Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, they're the only multiplayer games I have at the moment, but Counter Strike: Source seems to be very popular. I also have the Orange Box, plus Half-Life 1 and Plants vs. Zombies(Which I would recommend to any gamer, casual or hardcore. It is very fun, despite its name).

Plants vs. Zombies. It's great fun, I recommend you download the demo from Steam.

I would laugh if it was a Trojan Horse instead.

Well, we can't forget the fact that some games on Steam are actually restricted to those in other areas (mostly Australia, the UK, and Germany), because of the way ratings differ. For example, people in Australia couldn't buy Prey for the longest time, but now it's available.

Yeah, that's so annoying when we get games later than you guys! Delays aren't normally too bad, but I don't know about steam...

Yeah. Like, I live in Australia, and we didn't get Brawl until months after it was released in America. But most of the good multiplayer games are already in Australia.

I would have joined this, but because you need to buy and download these games, count me out.
