I saw a topic on the forum on romulation.com, it's about a new DS and some 360 stuff and chatting on the ps3.

The Nintendo DS is a boon.
It has two screens.
One of them is touch-sensitive.
It has a microphone.
It uses cartridges.
If they make a new Game Boy that removes this gimmicky nonsense, I will consider buying it.

The PS3 hasn't had cross-game chat until now? What a shitty console...

At least X360 owners could talk to each other before our consoles failed.

At least we didn't have to pay fifty quid a year for the privilege.

Worth every penny. Quick servers, cross-game chat and no unscheduled downtime whatsoever ftw.

How's your hundred-euro HD-DVD drive?

Weak, dude. Only morons who couldn't see which way the storm was blowing bought the HD-DVD drive. We weren't forced to take it with the console or anything.

I'd like to know how you figured out the results of the format war before the manufacturers did.

It's so much fun getting you started, spiral!
Gaming console choice all comes down to what you personally want anyway, so arguing about which one is the best is ridicolous imho.
For me personally, this is true:
Your long list < Halo 3/Gears of War 2/Forza Motorsport 2&3
Any of those four games would be a good enough reason for me to choose X360 over PS3. That's obviously not true for you, so please don't make a long and intricate response explaining why those four games suck. I'm not gonna respond to it anyway.

BD sold better than HD-DVD. Pretty obvious, non?

Spiral, I simply have one firm question to you: just why in the hell should I buy the cheapest of PS3s, when from that price, I can get a 360 bundled with Halo 3 and ODST. I'm sure you have an oil refinery in your back yard, but here's a heads up, not every country has people who can and are willing to buy something as pricy as a PS3. Seriously that console+1 game costs almost 2/3 of an average monthy salary here.
Give me one exact reason why it'd be worth that money...

The Xbox 360 Elite costs the same as the PS3 Slim as far as I'm aware.
PS3 Slim can play Blu-ray discs, the Xbox can't. PS3 comes with wi-fi, Xbox needs a $90 adapter for wi-fi. PS3 has free online play, 360 costs you $50 a year. PS3 has a standard, easily-upgradeable standard SATA HDD. Xbox has a special HDD which is hugely more expensive to upgrade. PS3 controllers can charge with a USB cable while you play. This costs an extra $20 each for 360 controllers. The Xbox 360 is also much, much more likely to experience hardware failure.
The PS3 comes with a bunch of features which cost you much more to get on the 360, and its lineup of exclusive titles is better. And it has better graphics.

Well, try to imagine we don't even HAVE Slim here yet, then try and think further along that line.
Let's see from the top then...like I said, I don't need Blu-ray, mostly because it is NOT that mainstream yet, the quality is only a question of aesthetics compared to DVDs and because if I have to choose, I much rather buy the cheaper DVD version. As long as it's not CAM, everything's better you know.
If I really wanted to get a console online, I'd think ahead and place the damn thing near the modem, so it won't need wi-fi. It's more a question of common sense, rather.
Hungary isn't supported by Xbox LIVE officially and I'm guessing that also stands for the PSN. What's the point then?
It's an f-ing console, not a PC I'd want to continuously upgrade. Besides, I worked for 3 years under a PC that had only half a gigabyte of HDD, while others had 20+. I know a thing or two about how to use the space I have.
Dunno, I have a 360 and with it honestly doesn't bother me to having to recharge batteries. Again, common sense?
Here's a news for you Spiral: technology is a bitch. You'd best remember that and it pretty much sums up my view on this topic. Hardware failures can come out of the blue, big deal, what can you do against it? Nothing. Also, the PS3 isn't foolproof either so...
Um...yes...about exclusive games, that kinda depends on the player, doesn't it? I mean, sure, I liked Final Fantasy X a lot, but I don't have any enthusiasm for Versus, for instance. Seriously, I just browsed through the exclusive list and the only ones I found to my liking were Demon's Souls, LittleBigPlanet and Heavy Rain. That doesn't make me wanna buy a different and pricier console, for 3 friggin' games...
And lastly...do you really wanna start upon this one? Any single game you check, there are slight differences between graphics and usually they DO NOT MATTER THAT MUCH. I lived half my life under games like Heroes III and stuff when people were playing with Doom 3. I couldn't care less of the truly meager graphical advantages or disadvantages.
Also, I heard some rather nasty things about the PS3 anyway that spark some disgust. Check a few things about a game called Tales Of Vesperia and you'll probably be surprised as well.

You should never have gotten him started, Zay-El. Spiraldoor is on a fucking crusade for his beloved console. You'll never be able to convince him that any other machine ever comes close to its brilliance.

Not quite; Blu-ray also has greater capabilities for special features, but I'm not too familiar with those.

I really don't see where you're coming from here. The Xbox 360 has a huge fail-rate and the PS3 has a tiny one. This doesn't bother you at all, then.

I have nothing to say about this. Like Stacey, you just don't seem to like many games.

The PS3 (see Uncharted 2) can handle significantly better graphics than the Xbox 360; there's nothing "slight" about them...
Zay-el wrote:Also, I heard some rather nasty things about the PS3 anyway that spark some disgust. Check a few things about a game called Tales Of Vesperia and you'll probably be surprised as well.
I actually heard about that; wasn't Tales of Vesperia a 360 exclusive that's being ported to the PS3 with additional content? I don't see how that's a bad thing from PS3 owners' perspective.
