That's exactly what I thought, I think the text in the game for when you select the objects etc would have been a simplified font too as they wouldn't go through all that effort to put in fancy fonts when no one else would have seen it.
All the GUI text probably uses the same font, so it wouldn't matter.

Anyways, a R1 remake does not sound bad at all, they should reamke it on wii,ps3,and 360. Sorta like new super mario bros, but only with new Rayman. I think it sounds good. :D O and by "new" Rayman I don't mean change his look. They should try making a 3D model of rayman 1. I thought rayman in the first game was adorable ^^
I have to agree with this all the way. How hard could it be for them to remake the game like that? Just take the same game, make it 2.5D or just 2D, give the music higher quality. That's it. Look at Maverick Hunter X, it's the same idea. It's Megaman X but in 2.5D, higher quality music and voice acting added. Question is, could we get a petition going to ask Ubisoft about this?

^ You left out the ‘reprogramme the entire game for an engine capable of handling the improved graphics’ part.

Yes, that too.

Sadly Rayman 3DS turned out to be a quite bad remake from R2. Played through the whole game, but I didn't enjoy it as much as other versions. :pfff:

New little hope came along, Rayman Collection might be released soon. It is bundled with Rayman Forever and it is described that this compilation is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7, so Rayman 1 might me remade, we can only guess, because there is currently not much information about it. But maybe it could be also just GoG's Rayman Forever, so like I said we can only guess for now.

The site appears to be Polish.

I wholly doubt that it's an actual remake. Knowing the Montpellier team, they wouldn't be able to keep their mouth shut about anything like that. Unless, that could be their greatest secret.

It will most likely end up being GOG.com version or something similar. Possibility of HD remake is 0.01%
Some people thought Rayman 3D will be Revolution port on 3DS but it was not. Rayman 3D did not even have voice acting :(

Not a chance. It would be advertised prominently on the box if this were the case.

Too pity! Anyway, if they just used DOSBox or GoG's version and if it is less advanced than Rayman Mega Patch I'll probably forced to update RMP to make it for this new pack compatible. Anyway, it still would be a little bit cool to get a physical copy of Rayman Forever, Rayman 2 and Rayman 3.

Good point Spiral. Not a single trailer about HD remake, and not promoting something never seen before on the box is pretty much enough proof it is not remake. It could however be a brand new port of original one that does not rely on DOSBox. Is Earthworm Jim on Steam DOSBox or not?

So I can defenitally say Earthworm Jim on iOS has improved graphics, but that's not helpful for you OCG.

That is because EWJ on iOS is HD remake. Steam does not have HD remake but original game in with original graphics. I am just wondering is it with DOSBox or not. EWJ on GOG.com is DOSBox.

I think it's a given that it's a compilation release, not a remake of any sort.

Remake would be also on XBLA and PSN. Speaking of remakes now that I have internet on 3DS I will go and buy Rayman DSi.

since the dsi version is the most complete in term of music, levels(except the gold and by fans levels), sadly not some of the sounds(like when you get a ting instead of a plop sound they made a great sparkly sound)and i dont think it has all the graphics effects, but still has pretty much everything else, so i think it would be just a matter of using the ps graphics/effects, and the extra sounds, and thats it, an hd remake that would please almost everybody, but it sounds so easy, and makes me wonder why they have not done it yet
i saw a thread here where somebody was making a remake with everything from the other versions
but now that i look at the ps/sega graphics, they could be improved a little, like what they did with earthworm jim

if Michel Ancel was in charge, i'd be ok with it, otherwise, i'll just keep playing the PSX version (if t still works :/ )
