So what do you think is the hardest instrument?

-

I play piano, oboe, flute, soprano sax, drums, a little bit of trumpet, and a little bit of clarinet.

I'd have to say that Oboe is definitely the hardest out of those I've played. Piano wasn't exactly hard, but you learn it sloooowly. You can't really learn it fast. Flute I was able to play well in 5-6 months and I've got to say was one of the easiest. Soprano sax was fairly hard. Not as hard as oboe, but getting there. Drums by god seems to be just easy if you have a sense of rhythm. :)

Exactly, if you want to be as good as that guy in Dragonforce - trough the fire and flames.
I don't really listen to Dragonforce but i know this because of the EPIC solo.

playing at lightspeed is hard on any instrument, but it doesn't necessarily sound good (which has been proven by dragonforce)

I'd say organ too, because of the hand-foot sync thing. Some of the more complex brass instruments (like the saxophone) look difficult as well, but maybe that's more a question of control.

I believe the hand-hand sync is much harder than hand-foot actually

With the organ, it's kind of hand-hand-foot-foot sync.

Well my point is that it's much harder to manage a bassline and a solo with two hands than to get the timing right with your foot, as the latter is a much more natural movement isn't it

Depends what you're doing with your feet I guess, but I certainly wouldn't call it natural movement.

I can play some organ, and it's really not that hard.
Bass guitar is actually a very hard instrument to master. Any moron can thump out a constant stream of root notes, but if you wanna be able to play really advanced jazzy stuff like the tune in the video below and make it sound good you have to be extremely talented.

Both guitar and bass are harder instruments than an organ, take it from me who's played all three. Playing an organ isn't much different from playing a piano. You just play what you would normally play with your left hand on the bottom set of keys, and what you would play with your right on the upper set (regular organs only have two sets of keys). The hand-foot coordination thing is actually not that hard. With some practice it comes pretty naturally.

LOL Dragonforce, they're like PROTECTORS of typical 13yo American boys amirite?

But seriously that shit hurts my fingers, even pissy little kids' ones.

Drums can be hard when it comes to really advanced stuff (I've heard, never played drums myself). And you have to be good at keeping time (this goes for bass as well), which isn't always that easy.

Oh shit excuse my ignorace I thought organ's pedals were similar to those on the piano
I'm so slow today.

Bass is hard indeed, it's very hard to get the right sound out of it I think.

It just occurred to me that it would be entirely possible to create an application that lets you use a computer keyboard as a musical keyboard. I doubt that I'm the first one to think of it though.

I used to have that on my old laptop. You could do other instruments and record your own songs. It was fun for like half an hour.
