On the Dreamcast, pressing A, B, X, Y, X, Y will make a box rise up to allow jumping in.

You know what? I'll join the search. In fact, I'm gonna play R2 and go try to find it.

I just need to buy a dreamcast, as I already have the DC version (all the new ones on eBay right now are really expensive, and I can't stand used consoles)

Don't bother buying a dreamcast.
I mean, it is cool and all, but it's just not worth it in the end.
Plus since you have the DC copy you can insert it in your cd drive and use chankast (a dreamcast emulator which runs good), and set up the keyboard to be like the controls for R2 for the pc.
I'm planning on buying the copy just so I can play it on a emulator. Finding DC iso's is a pain for me, even when I use torrents, there's no seeders.

Dreamcast disks were just unsigned cd's that had a storage maxium of 1.2gigabytes unlike the normal 700MB on a normal CD. Since they were unsigned and the dreamcast had no copy protection, emulating the dreamcast and burning games were easy as 1 2 3. 1. download game 2. extract files 3. run game in emulator or burn to CD. CD burning was limited to games under 700MB if you planned on using normal CD's. You can get cd's (NOT DVDS) bigger than 700MB off of amazon and those sort of sites.

Nah, I'm gonna buy a dreamcast, I hate emulating games. The real thing is 100% hassle free as well.

At least you won't have any problems related to saving the game.

There's alot of hassle that comes with buying the actual thing.
Most people sell theirs used, 30$ if you count shipping, and you only get the console, cables, and 1 controller without a vmu most of the time.
Then you have to buy a vmu which is 6$, but then goes up to 12$ with the ridiclious shipping costs, and a second controller which is 20$ including shipping, and then games.
Most of the games sold on ebay for dreamcast are extremely overpriced, seeing how they cost 13 bucks to get one, and with shipping costs it's 20$.
So
30$+12$+20$+20$= 82$ only for just abandoned console early in it's life and 1 game for it of your choice.

Dude don't get one.
Sega's putting up dreamcast games on the PSN store and Xbox marketplace anyways.
Sega already announced that sonic adventure and crazy taxi are the first two titles - http://blogs.sega.com/europe/2010/06/10 ... talreturn/
According to the article, on september 14'th, sonic adventure and crazy taxi will be released as "dreamcast classics" and have improved visuals, and trophies and acheviments and online leaderboards.

Does online leaderboards scream anything to you?

MJongo wrote:Just made another discovery. Ever see the following codes on sites, and couldn't get them to work?

Kaleidoscope Textures Press Down,A,Down,B,A,Y,X,X
Rayman VMU Icon Press Up, X, Y, Down, Y, X, Left, Right

Try inputting them in a level with the controller in slot 2, then exiting the level.
Kaleidoscope textures is one of the coolest things you will ever see. :)
:fou:

Okay, now that that's out of the way, the hole is in the iphone/ipod touch version (because it's a port of the dreamcast version sillies).
So that must mean the cheat will work too.

I also know that there is a cheat menu, look at the trailer on youtube and turn off annotations.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Knpf2guZmv0
When rayman is going past the swinging axes at the fairy glade, look at the top of the screen. it says "cheat".
They try to block it with a annotation that says "click here to buy the game on the app store".

I think you get the cheat menu by getting all 1000 lums. Hopefully it has the kaleidescope cheat in there.

If anyone wants to dig around the game's folders and files, I have a raw dump of the game.

Just unrar it.
