OMG 192GB!? Thats very fast!!! looks like my computer its obsolete,cause when my dad went to change the RAM to 1GB the shopkeeper said that my computer was obsolete only by looking at my 224 MB RAM,maybe its possible to upgrade it to make it use newer ones but it cost more $$$

RAM size doesn't always necessarily make it faster, you have RAM clock speeds and latency to factor in too.

Right now on desktops, the highest RAM amount I've seen is 24GB kits on DDR3. I think just at 1066MHz or 1333MHz with high timings.

12GB kits can smoke it on speed right now.

Mac Pros can go up to 32GB with 8x4GB at 1066mhz

Yes, but to buy a Mac that powerful you'd need the entire national budget of a medium-sized state.

That's a good point, plus if you somehow ever found the cash and bought one, you know they'd bring out a much better one a month later

I meant Memory Controller Hub and you know it.

Of course, AMD and Intel Core ix arrangements have it integrated into the CPU.

Soetimes if you have a lot of junk on your hard drive and you upgrade your RAM to double it's size, is it true it will still be slow?

If files on the drive are fragmented, certain things will be slow. Run Defrag and it'll be fine.

Smart Defrag is a pretty nice program, I hear it's better than what Windows has.

I tried it and I liked it.

I hear that anything is better than Vista's.

Defraggler is a good, free defrag program as well.

Redundant Array of Independent Disks, that explains what each RAID configuration does. I don't know of any RAID existence on IDE, but for sure on Serial ATA (SATA). SATA is common these days, but you can still buy IDE drives. Latest SATA is SATA III, available on some newer motherboards and RAID cards. Motherboards with SATA III also has USB 3.0. Though right now not many parts of either. Though eventually there will be, but for now, not really since they are so new.

Thanks, is it possible to have multiple to have two systems on two hard drives as long as you program the computer to save which system to which drive. I got a special version of Linux and am planning to get W7 Ultimate. Plus I need to know if its possible to stick two graphics card in to a computer. One for games like RM and the other for like RRR1. One with high graphics, the other low.
