There's a moonjump/moonflying cheat for rayman 2 n64.
This way I got into razorbeards private cabin, which is located somewhere away from the prison ship. And it looks like an alternate razorbeard battle Picture:
I also found some weird kind of lava outside the prison ship, you can walk on it??? Maybe from the cutscene where rayman falls down the pipe and is saved by ly? It's really awesome. Reeaally awesome.
EDIT:
Somehow, the size of the prison ship is quite disappointing XD

As far as my understanding goes, the cabin there is actually for the cut scene right before he boards the Grolgoth. It was a common trick in older games to include rooms like that far off or just elsewhere within the level to eliminate loading times between key moments (cheats in the original Perfect Dark revealed a lot of similar tricks Rare utilized).
Half-Life 2 actually does the same exact thing (ex. there's a miniature of the Borealis elsewhere in the map in Ep 2, which is shown via the "video feed" when they play a recording from Judith).

Nice..... a great find.
And @Phoenixian, i remember that in Harry potter 2 on the pc, i can fly in it in debug mode.... so i can see those rooms.
Btw, i have skipped a lot of levels on R2 DS, just go to the fairy glade and fly to the part of the level where the hole is and you'll get in the echoing caves, then just win the level.

What was hilarious about HL" though is that... Dr. Breen is talking through a camera in his office and is projected to an overhead billboard in the first level "Welcome to City 17". If you fly over to his room and kill him, on the video billboard you see him fall over dead and he stops talking and you can see yourself. It's so funny.

Yeah, that's actually a great trick to exploit in Garry's Mod, though when he dies, you actually get a "non existent actor" error popping up in your console.
The 3D skybox tech is a great thing to exploit too.

How so?
@PluMGMK:
7:25, Programmers don't design levels. XD
What would actually happen is if the engine is "open" (meaning they don't have to confine a sector of the level for playability, you can play anywhere) which this engine is, then you could go on and on forever. You become invisible if Rayman doesn't have any brushes behind him. In every engine there's at least two kinds of building blocks: Brushes and Entities. Brushes are the basic static terrain and modeled objects, and Entities are anything that does something (like Rayman or an enemy or a switch or a boss). Like in Rayman Designer if your'e translating to 2D terms... Mapper = brushes, Events Editor = Entities.
IN this case, I like the way Ubisoft builds their engines. I think you have to compile the Rayman 3 engine into a level each time you edit, but I'm not sure. The Raving Rabbids engine was actually really well built. IT had the same idea as Crysis, where you can build and edit things in real-time.

Find the skybox, place troops and striders.. or whatever in there..
Go back to the world, and the world is being invaded by giants.
Can be done by either spawning characters in-game via the console, or you can just do it in Garry's Mod with ragdolls and props.

Oh yeah, I remember doing that. I made a Majora's Mask style scene with the giants.
How do you spawn NPCs in the console? I can't figure that out.
EDIT:
I just remembered Crysis uses skyspheres. It uses the textures like a skybox though.

There may be something wrong with what you are using or you are doing something wrong. Either way I still don't like when that happens sometimes. Just keep trying. Find alternate solutions to the problem.

So if you start a new game, play through the Woods of Light, then use the shortcut to the Echoing Caves in the Fairy Glade... what happens when you finish the Echoing Caves? Do all the Spiral Doors leading to the levels between the Fairy Glade and the Echoing Caves open? Or are you just stranded at the Echoing Caves?

They are all open i think there's some sort of safety meganism. By the way: you don't have yellow fist
And I've discovered sometihng: if you skip the fairy glade with a special cheat and you don't get the power to swing at purple lums, you CAN'T swing at purple lums in other levels :O I always thought the game worked like 'the levels after the fairy glade contain purple lums so you can swing on them and the levels before don't have them so you can't swing on them.'. But it doesn't! Also: if you have a powerfist, but not yet the second silver lum from globox, you shoot a white energy ball with golden sparkles and you can't charce you fist

What happens if you get Golden Fist while without the power to charge? Are the shots still yellow and you just can't charge?
