Hi RPC I'm curious. Surely at some point in our lives, we were scared of something that's not meant to be scary, and that sort of shit would be called nightmare fuel. What was yours?

For me, the shit I was scared of would include but certainly not be limited to: Super Mario Bros on the NES, nearly every single BBC Video ident ever, among others. Cases in point.

Gawd it's tiny NOW but when I was little I thought it was huge and it opened and closed its jaw and it was unnerving.

I was also afraid of the girl from the Ring (I had sneak-peeked on it when I was little, durr).

Well, The Gate, and The Blob. The Blob mostly when I was taking a shower, and I hoped I wouldn't be sucked down the drain. That was not a good site. The movie in general was very gruesome in the way the blob took people. I mean, the same way that blob guy takes people in Futurama, but you die and its ugly.

Mr. Dark kinda gave me the creeps as a young child too, when he appeared after the Space Mama fight in the original game. :P

I used to be afraid of my alarm clock because of its sinister bell sound!

Teenagers, doubledeckers and ovens were amongst other things that scared me as a child.

I've been scared of clowns.

Though I didn't mind seeing Cirque du Soleil, but...

Clowns.

Steven King's It didn't help me either later in life.

I am a teenager now and I'm still scared of teenagers. Oh, and clowns. There must be more, but I can't think of anything now. (I'm quite the scaredycat)

EDIT: Ah yes. When I was like 8, I tried a Barbie game (I believe it was called Barbie Detective). In the beginning you heard a laugh of the bad guy. That laugh was so scary, I kept hearing it in my head for days. D:

It used to kinda give me the creeps when my PC BSOD-ed and destroyed my work. :fou2: (Back at this time, the CPU fan was faulty so this was a nightly occurrence)
